The Hong Kong Special Administrative Government announced that the operating hours of the Shenzhen Bay Control Point (SBCP) for passenger clearance will change to 10am to 6pm daily from tomorrow until further notice.
As the local epidemic situation remains severe and the number of confirmed cases remains high, the governments of the Hong Kong SAR and Shenzhen agreed to change the operating hours of the SBCP for passenger clearance.
Members of the public are advised to avoid unnecessary cross-boundary people flow while travellers should keep abreast of and comply with the latest quarantine and testing requirements of their destinations.
Cargo clearance services at the SBCP will remain unchanged and continue to operate on 24-hour basis.
Among the land control points, the SBCP and the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Hong Kong Port are still providing passenger clearance services.

The British government opened BNO visa (BNO Visa) residence applications at the beginning of last year, but applicants are limited to those who already hold British National (Overseas) (BNO) status, and children who do not hold BNO can only travel with them as relatives. Parents apply. Young people whose parents are unwilling to emigrate or immigrate to the UK cannot lodge an application for residence independently.
However, the British government announced yesterday (February 24) that it will relax relevant measures, allowing 18-year-olds who do not hold BNOs, as long as their parents have BNOs, to apply for BNO visas to live in the UK independently. The measures will take effect in October. However, immigration is always a major event in life, so you might as well listen to what people have said about the difficulties they will face after moving to the UK.

The Government today announced that aside from staff providing emergency and essential public services as well as those involved in anti-epidemic efforts, all government employees will continue to work from home as far as possible until February 18.
As the local COVID-19 epidemic situation remains severe, the Government said it is necessary to continue to take measures to significantly reduce people flow and social contact in the community so as to curb the further spread of the virus.
It will closely monitor the epidemic situation and review the arrangements before February 18.
During the implementation of the special work arrangements, government departments will continue to provide emergency and essential public services.
The Government emphasised that its top priority now is to contain the fifth wave of the epidemic, adding that a large number of government employees have steadfastly dedicated themselves to the anti-epidemic efforts.
Government departments will continue to proactively mobilise their staff to support the anti-epidemic work in full force depending on the development of the epidemic situation and actual needs, it said.
To reduce the flow of people in government buildings and offices, citizens are encouraged to use the post, drop-in boxes or online channels to receive the services they need. The Government also appealed to employers to allow their staff to work from home as far as possible.

Secretary for Food & Health Prof Sophia Chan made the remarks at a press briefing this afternoon, stating that the Government had introduced a vaccine bubble since six months ago, especially for catering businesses or scheduled premises that are considered high risk.
“The Government is progressively expanding the vaccine bubble to more places now,” Prof Chan said.
Under the new vaccine bubble arrangement, to be implemented in the future, more venues will require people to receive at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccination before entering.
“We are not saying that one dose of vaccination is enough, but we also have to be practical while we want to implement this measure, the vaccine bubble, to all these scheduled premises under Cap 599 as soon as possible.”
Prof Chan explained that the vaccine bubble scope will be expanded before Chinese New Year because people will attend gatherings during the festival. As such, she urged citizens to maintain awareness of epidemic prevention.
