The future of the Student Union has been decided yesterday (16 October). This year, there was only one candidate cabinet, Spicka. Raimondians have casted their votes and the results are as follows:

For - 306 votes (44.2%)
Against - 276 votes (39.8%)
Abstain - 111 votes (16.0%)
Ineffective - 29 votes
Total - 722 votes
Percentages are rounded off to the nearest decimal.

Since supporting votes exceed opposing votes, Spicka has been elected as the 52nd Raimondi College Student Union.

Details regarding the 52nd Raimondi College Student Union Election Public Forum are as follows:

Date: 14/10 (Wed)
Time: 3:45 p.m.

The Public Forum will be held via Google Meet (link in bio). All students and alumni are allowed to take part in the forum and pose questions to members of the 52nd Raimondi College Student Union Candidate Cabinet, Spicka. Below are the rules and regulations for the forum.
-
1. The forum will take place online via Google Meet. Students may submit questions through Google Forms (link in bio) or ask questions live through Google Meet.
Please note that students must turn on their cameras when they ask questions live.

2. The forum will be divided into 3 parts. In the first part, members of the 51st Raimondi College Student Union, Cesta will ask questions collected from the Google Form. Members of Spicka will not have any time to prepare for the questions beforehand.

3. In the second part, students and alumni in Google Meet can pose questions live. For those interested in asking questions live, you must first notify us through the chat room. We will call upon your name when it is your turn.

4. In the third part, members of the 50th Raimondi College Student Union, Vigor will pose their questions live from the forum venue.

5. Deliberate insults, verbal abuse and foul language are strictly forbidden.

6. After the forum, a highlight video will be uploaded for students who are unable to participate.

Please pay careful attention to the above regulations. Anyone who violates the rules will be removed from the meeting. Cautions may be given out for serious offences. Should you have any queries, feel free to contact us.

Evince, co-organized by Belilios Public School, St. Paul’s Co-Educational College, Raimondi College and True Light Middle School of Hong Kong, was scheduled to be held during December 2019. We all strived to bring forth a joyful gathering event for schoolmates from different schools to enjoy this festive union.

Unfortunately, due to social instability and the outbreak of COVID-19, this event had been delayed three times, once from Christmas to around Valentine’s day, and then to Easter again. Our organising committee had worked diligently during this period of time— contacting performing guests, making flow plans, discussing and booking venues, etc.
However at last, we were forced to terminate the possibility of holding the Ball as the chances of holding a successful and safe event declined significantly.

Yet still, we hope to leave a piece of this Christmas Ball with you all. It is indeed upsetting that it could not be held, but we would like to share the Ball video that our editors tirelessly worked to create, putting in their all. We are glad that we are able to share the last and only excerpt of what would have been an amazing and memorable Christmas event.

With gratitude and sentiments, we present to you this bittersweet Christmas Ball video: 在乎.

The Pre-Election Promotion Period of the 52nd Raimondi College Student Union Election has started.

This year, we have received ONE application for the election, from the proposing cabinet "Spicka". The nomination is, by law, approved by both the President and the Chief Advisor of the Union, and "Spicka" is now an official candidate cabinet participating in the election - Spicka - 52nd Raimondi College Student Union Candidate Cabinet

As the EDB announced, face-to-face class resumption will be carried out.
The arrangements will be as follows:
/
1) Face-to-face class resumption
- Starting from 16/9: S6 classes at school; S1-5 online classes
- Starting from 23/9: S1, S5-6 classes at school; S2-4 online classes
- Starting from 29/9: S1-6 classes at school
- The timetable attached will be adopted
- On 23/9: The 1st 2 periods will be turned to Class Teacher Period (S1-6). Period 3-4 will be allocated to school tour for S1 students led by subject teachers and some other available teachers
- On 29/9: The 1st 2 periods will be turned to Class Teacher Period (S1-6)

2) Postponement of the 2021 HKDSE
- S6 Mock Exam will be held as scheduled from 22/2 to 5/3
- After Mock Exam, classes will continue until 25/3
- The Speech Day will be postponed to 5/6 (or 6/6 as fallback day); whereas the associated discretionary holiday will be moved to 7/6
/
3) Final Exam Report Cards (2019-2020)
- Report Cards will be distributed to students upon their face-to-face class resumption
/
4) First Term Exam
- S1-3 syllabuses will be issued to parents 4 weeks before the start of the First Term Test
/
5) Parent Letter
- A parent letter will be issued on 8/9 explaining the arrangements in relation to face-to-face class resumption
/
The previous school year has been challenging for all of us. Under the COVID-19 pandemic, many events have been canceled and suspended. However, we believe that we Raimondians can overcome every challenge ahead. We are looking forward to seeing all of you in September. Please do bear in mind to maintain personal hygiene and together we can break down the obstacles.

S.4 to S.5 students of the school year 2020-2021 are eligible to propose cabinets for the upcoming election in accordance to the Constitution of the Raimondi College Student Union. [Upcoming arrangements in regard to school resumption]

As announced by the Education Bureau, class resumption of secondary schools will occur on 27/5 (S3-5) and 8/6 (S1-2) respectively. The following are upcoming arrangements after school resumption:
-
1) Special Timetable will be adopted (8:00 am - 1:15 pm). All 9th periods will be cancelled. Some subject teachers may or may not arrange make-up online lessons.
-
2) From 27/5 to 5/6, classroom lessons (S3-5) and online lessons occur simultaneously.
-
3) 1/6 changed to normal school day.
-
4) Final Exam: 24/6 to 3/7 (6 days)
Exam Paper Checking: 6/7 - 7/7
Distribution of Report Cards: 17/7
-
5) Weighting of Annual Results: 1st Term (50%), 2nd Term (50%). The weighting for 2nd Term: Final Exam (80%), Continuous Assessment (20%).

6) Start of Summer Vacation: 20/7
Extra classes for S4-5 (2019-2020): starting from 17/8
