Our student is taking a first fitting in the middle of the Qipao Course. In process fitting is a key step in order to ensure a perfect fit to the individual's unique body shape. 

🌹旗袍課程中的試身階段

學生正在旗袍課程中段進行第一次試身。製作過程中的試身是確保服裝完美貼合個人獨特身型的關鍵步驟。細節微調幾乎是不可或缺的！試身後，整件服裝會拆開進行調整，隨後才會正式縫合。

無論東西方的專業裁縫，做法皆是如此。

🌹Beautiful white summer blouse made by our talented student. Off white pure cotton fabric, mixing plain weave with eyelet texture fabric. The applique in the chest area is geniously cut out from the eyelet fabric in the back. 👍👍

✂️ 學生最近製作的美麗白色夏季上衣。採用米白色純棉面料，將平織布與鏤空刺繡質感布料巧妙結合。胸前的貼花圖案更是獨具匠心，直接取材剪裁自背部的鏤空布料。👏👏

I have taught so many pre college students over the past five years. Many have aspirations and are talented. But very few are hardworking enough. I worked my ass off at their age. And the few who are really talented and hardworking are the ones who get into schools like Central Saint Martins, London College of Fashion. Parsons, HK Poly U..... Talent alone is not enough, period.

Is it just a buzzword, what's its true meaning?

True couture is custom-fitted, constructed primarily by hand using premium materials (like the intricate silver-on-black beadwork shown!), and how it differs entirely from the clothing we typically buy from stores.

💬 After seeing the difference, which side of fashion do you find more inspiring: the dedication of the hand-crafted art, or the innovative scaling of ready-to-wear?
