Date: 19/5 (Thu)
Time: 14:00-14:45
Venue: Classroom 5B
This year's talk will be host by Brother Paolo, one of the new Brothers that have join our school, and the theme will be "The Gift of God" as each and everyone of us are created differently, it is often very easy for us to compare our short-comings to others' strengths. But God intended to create us differently, so we may use our strength, which is God's gift, to complete our neighbours' short-comings. And through this talk, we hope you may understand that even though we may not be perfect, we can utilise our strength to help our brothers and sisters. We shall learn to discover, understand and make use of God's gift. All are welcome.

On 8th December, Pope Francis announced that this year would be the “Year of St Joseph” in order to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of declaration of St Joseph as the Patron of the Universal Church.
In the Apostolic Letter named Patris Corde, the Pope describes St Joseph as a beloved and “accepting” father, he accepted Mary unconditionally even under the conservative atmosphere of the society. At the end of the letter, the Pope mentioned a special prayer to St Joseph:
Hail, Guardian of the Redeemer,
Spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
To you God entrusted his only Son;
in you Mary placed her trust;
with you Christ became man.
Blessed Joseph, to us too,
show yourself a father
and guide us in the path of life.
Obtain for us grace, mercy, and courage,
and defend us from every evil. Amen.
Happy Feast Day!

Let us pray,
At the start of the new school year, we shall pray for the peace and health of our fellow students, teachers, friends and families. May all of us find inner peace even in these tumultuous times, and stay strong and be free of disease. We shall also wish for the dissonance and arguments within society to be resolved, and justice and equality to prevail. May our Lord Jesus Christ forgive those who have sinned, and may Mother Mary bless and pray for the sons and daughters of God. Amen
St. John Baptist de La Salle
Pray for us!
