✈️ Hate waiting in lines?

Me too.

Toronto Pearson airport, which has been considered a clusterF*** in the past year, just announced that you can pre-book your time online to go through security.

The booking system seems pretty straight forward. You can book a time up to 4 days in advance of travel. Just show up 15 min prior to your reserved time, show your QR code and skip the lines.

You can book for groups of up to 10 people.

It was just introduced a couple of days ago so I haven’t tried it myself yet but let me know in the comments if you have or would consider it.

🪔What is Diwali?

Diwali is India’s biggest and most important holiday of the year. Kinda like Christmas to many of us.

It celebrates light over darkness
Good over evil
Knowledge over ignorance
And the ability to overcome all adversity

What a beautiful holiday and one we should all adopt.

So Happy Diwali to all my Indian friends, many of whom are like family to me. And if you are not Indian, maybe you can decide to be one in spirit today.

🌊 Isn’t that the truth.

The past 2 years for the travel industry has been a tsunami. 2 years where it felt like the water was being pulled back from the shore.

And now…with the lifting of most travel restrictions, most travel advisors are standing on the shoreline, getting pummelled with a wave of clients who are eager to travel but need help finding the right advisor.

If you’re that travel advisor…time to grab your surfboard 🏄‍♀️

Let’s go!

I’m running a Facebook Bootcamp that will show you how to attract the right client to your travel business so that you aren’t wasting time and energy on the wrong clients.

🕊 Seriously…it’s good enough. Fly already.

This is a gentle reminder that whatever you are currently working on…

it’s probably ready to go.

Yeah sure, you could probably preen some more but really…It’s time.

This is as much of a kick in the butt to myself as it is to anyone else out there who might read this and think…yep, that’s me.

🐾 It’s take your doggo to work day.

Truth is, when you work from home, everyday feels like a doggo holiday.

Negatives:
Her work output is a bit suspect.
She doesn’t have the best attention to detail.
She takes way too many naps.

Positives:
She’s easy to motivate
She’s cheap
And she accepts hugs and cuddles and doesn’t complain to HR about it.

Let her know she’s a good girl and give her a like, won’t ya?

🔴 What is your favourite colour?

My blog this week (link in bio 👆) helps you choose the best colours for your travel brand and why you should even bother.

I suggest choosing a strong anchor colour. This will set the tone for your entire brand colour palette.

My anchor colour is RED

Why red?

I wanted a colour that represented life-long learning, continual growth and guidance that are the cornerstones of my travel marketing business ~ Digital Travel Academy.

So I did one of these…🤔 and came up monks.

I pulled up the image above 📸

took my chrome extension tool, Colorzilla, dragged it across the screen and landed somewhere in the folds of the robes in the above pic.

And voila! HEX code 9d271F became my anchor colour.

Inspired by the monks of Mandalay.

Now your turn, what made you choose the main colour of your biz?

🇲🇲 Every strong woman needs a wingman or (wingwoman).

Am I right?

Just because you make the best grilled cheese sandwiches and can iron a party dress to military perfection, doesn’t mean you should.

There is no shame in hiring an assistant, freeing up time to do the things that actually add to your bottom line in your travel business.

But how do you know when you can realistically afford to hire an assistant?

I’ve got you covered.

In my blog this week…I tackle:

✨ When to know when it’s the right time
✨ Why you’ll resist
✨ Steps you’ll need to do before hiring
✨ 5 common mistakes to avoid
✨ 5 tips to help you narrow down the candidates

Isn’t it funny that Batman had Robin
Green Hornet had Kato
but Wonder Woman did it all by herself!

Doesn’t mean YOU have to.
