Welcome to our 3rd session of IMM Community of Practice. In this session, we will share the results of mapping social innovations form early-stage startups in Hong Kong. We mapped social innovations according to target beneficiaries, their pain points, and solutions. And we also tracked the survival rates of different types of social innovations. The research enables social entrepreneurs and funders to learn from the past experiences of other social entrepreneurs.

Was a fun session mapping TOC using the MSC technique. Colleagues of BEHub identified additional important outcomes using the method, and now they have TOC 2.0.

Quantitative narrative analysis is the foundation of big data analytics for social sciences. Imagine its applications in gathering impact data which oftentimes is narrative data.

SROI 101, Stakeholder segmentation.

To clarify your theory of change, the first thing is to understand the stakeholder segments and their individual experiences with your product or program.

A significant number of frameworks and voluntary standards already exist for ESG reporting even running into the hundreds. But in fact, this is part of the problem.

2020 WEF’s International Business Council (IBC) developed a new set of proposals for common metrics and reporting disclosures around environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors.

So what is actually in the proposals? There are 22 core metrics that are spread across four pillars — Principles of Governance, Planet, People and Prosperity. These are aligned with the United Nations Strategic Development Goals (SDGs) and with the principal ESG domains.
