📌 Interns may choose one of the following modes:

📢 Calling BSc (Bioinformatics) students! 🧬🔬 We are excited to announce a unique internship opportunity in collaboration with the Department of Medicine and consumer health device company, Withings. 🤝

Join us in a clinical trial aimed at assessing the use of smart blood pressure monitors to diagnose heart diseases like chronic rheumatic heart disease (CRHD) and mitral stenosis (MS) – conditions with a higher prevalence in Hong Kong. 🩺❤️ As an intern, you will have the chance to gain hands-on experience in every aspect of the trial. From ethics application and patient consenting to data acquisition, analysis, and manuscript preparation – you'll be involved in it all! 📊🖋️

This internship runs throughout the semester (Jan – Apr 2024) and offers the opportunity to contribute to trial preparation activities such as protocol design and familiarisation with the device API. The trial itself is scheduled during the summer months (May – Aug 2024). 💼✨ In addition to invaluable experience, we will provide a nominal stipend to support you during both the semester and summer months. 💸
