2024/2 - 2024/5 SelfCareOthers Volunteer activity
穿梭大埔社區，走過大埔墟、富善街，進行 5次回收行動，共30間小店參與，收集總共 357kg 廚餘👏♻
由23年尾籌備，第一次同其他大學（香港教育大學）合作，好多謝教大人文學院 CCC project信任我哋 (.fhm.care) ，令我地可以同嶺南大學之前嘅service learning學生cowork，一齊去諗呢三個月嘅SelfCareOthers program🧠😆
嚟到未做過活動嘅地區——大埔，街坊嘅Energy同埋社區參與嘅程度都好高，係一個好surprise同埋有趣嘅地區，促使同學們都好快進入到社區！🔥⚡
多謝同辛苦哂 菜園農業先鋒田 同埋 一葉農莊，用咗好多唔同角度嘅切入點比學生去親身體驗廚餘嘅轉變過程，同感受大自然同埋農田嘅能量，以及佢哋之間嘅關係，加強咗佢哋對環境、食物、以及自我嘅care🫂☘
最後辛苦所有教大嘅同學仔，呢五次嘅服務都身水身汗，有時好大雨都仲繼續收集廚餘。希望大家每一次嘅活動同記錄都可以對之後嘅生活、對身邊嘅事物Care多啲！💚🌎
Navigating the Tai Po community, from Tai Po Market to Fu Shin Street, we conducted five recycling actions involving a total of 30 small shops, collecting a total of 357kg of food waste. 👏♻
Starting preparations at the end of 2023, it was our first collaboration with another university (EdUHK). We are very grateful to the ‘Comparative Cultures of Care’ Project under FHM, EdUHK (.fhm.care) for trusting us, so that we could also involve former service-learning students from Lingnan University to co-work and brainstorm the SelfCareOthers program.🧠😆
Though we have never conducted activities in Tai Po before, the energy and community participation of the residents were very high. It was a surprising and interesting area, which helped the students quickly integrate into the community!🔥⚡
Many thanks to the hardworking Pioneer Farm and One Leaf Farm. They provided various perspectives for students to personally experience transformation of food waste, and feel the energy of nature and the farmland, as well as the relationships within, enhancing their care for the environment, food, and themselves.🫂🌳
Finally, a big thank you to all the EdUHK participants. During these five service activities, participants worked hard, and even continued to collect food waste in heavy rain. We hope this journey will help you care more about your life and the things around you! 💚🌎
