I am truly honored to receive the Outstanding Research Student Supervisor Award. Over the past 21 years as a supervisor, I have been fortunate to work with dedicated students and an incredibly supportive team. This moment is made even more meaningful by the presence of Professor Wendy Hsiao, who was my supervisor 30 years ago, at the ceremony. My heartfelt thanks to everyone who has been part of this journey!

This study isolates extracellular vesicles and particles (EVPs) from hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cells. Biophysical and proteomic analyses demonstrate that small extracellular vesicles and exomeres are distinctive entities. GALNS and MAN2B1 are identified as potential exomere markers. HCC derived exomeres promote oncogenesis via several mechanisms, including PI3K/AKT/mTOR activation, cell cycle progression, and lipidomic dysregulation. Congratulations to Cherlie, Lena and Charlotte, and thank you to team members who contributed to the study.
