Our native teacher Ms Müge chatted with Jamie AU and shared their favorite summer foods together! Jamie can already speak fluently in Spanish, naming lots of summer vocabulary, including: "la sandía" (watermelon), "la piña" (pineapple), "el helado" (ice cream), and "el zumo" (juice)! When the teacher asked: "¿cuál te gusta más?" (which one do you like more?), Jamie quickly responded with a complete sentence, for example: "en verano me gusta el zumo de piña" (in summer I like pineapple juice)! The whole conversation felt as natural as chatting with a friend, and Jamie grew more and more confident, even trying to form full sentences independently! 💪🎉

In our July Spanish Mini Challenge, Kasper TANG is only **7 years old**, but he already confidently named his favorite summer foods in Spanish! He is our star challenger this month — **Kasper TANG**! 🥳👏

At the start of the class, the teacher practised basic greetings with Kasper: "¿cómo estás?" (how are you?), and Kasper responded with great confidence: "estoy muy feliz, maravilloso y bien" (I am very happy, wonderful, and well!) ~ Then, the teacher introduced a super fun "mini reto" (mini challenge) on the theme "mi comida favorita de verano" (my favorite summer food)! Kasper explored five summer-related words with the teacher and even tried to form complete sentences about his favorite summer treats! Learning through play with his teacher, Kasper grew more and more confident and could even try making full sentences on his own! 💪🎉

This month's lesson theme was "Summer Food" ☀️🍉. Ethel learned lots of Spanish vocabulary for summer treats, including: **sandía** (watermelon), **helado** (ice cream), **fresa** (strawberries), **zumo** (juice), as well as **zumo de uva** (grape juice), **piña** (pineapple), and **granizada** (shaved ice)! She was very focused and proactive in class, practicing the pronunciation of each word with the teacher, and even tried to say her favourite summer food in complete sentences!
