This month's "Spanish Star" is here! It's our student — **Hoi Ching**! 🥳👏

In class, Hoi Ching was very focused and proactive. From learning greetings, correcting homework, and identifying adjective genders (e.g., blonde, brown hair, tall, short, eye colors), to reading aloud sentences describing people — the teacher practiced adjectives and descriptions with her through fun activities. Did you know? In some parts of Spain, people take a short nap after lunch when it is very hot in summer. It is called "Siesta".
¿Sabías que? En algunas partes de España, la gente toma una siesta corta después del almuerzo cuando hace mucho calor en verano. Se llama "Siesta".

In class, Maison practiced many activities related to numbers with our native Spanish teacher, Ms. Elsa:

🔢 Listening to Spanish and identifying the correct number
🍎 Counting fruit in Spanish
🧮 Doing simple math exercises in Spanish (e.g., ¿Cuánto es 5 + 3?)

He also practiced basic greetings and self-introductions:

Maison has improved so much — from not being very familiar with numbers to now answering questions in Spanish immediately and using full sentences. Great job, Maison! 💪🎉

She started by sharing “What did you do last weekend?” 🗣️
Then, we moved into the Mother’s Day theme, learning new vocabulary: mamá (mom), flores (flowers), regalo (gift), and abrazo (hug) 💐🎁🤗She even used these words to form full sentences – what a superstar!
