💬[Frequently Asked Question] How come do I have the antibody for COVID-19?
Beside of vaccination to generating antibodies for coronavirus, some infected individuals can go asymptomatic. The immune response to viral infection can protect the host from a specific virus.
In such highly populated society, pathogens have already evolved to propagate on surfaces of public facility, including the most worrisome coronavirus. As asymptomatic patients have no idea whether they are infected, they just live their lives without any concerns. In the poorly ventilated areas, the virus can easily spread to one another, which is pretty risky.
There are many possible ways to spread virus throughout, for example:
1) Physical contact
If we touch the public facilities, and grab on our personal belongings; or if we have not sanitized our hands, and touch our eyes, ears, mouth or nose, the virus can infect us.
2) Airborne transmission
The infection rate is high when social distancing is within 1.5 meters between each other. As there are chances having asymptomatic patients around you, the presence of virus within droplet nuclei can remain in the air for long, thus spreading through the air to another person.
3) Droplet transmission
Tears, nasal mucus and saliva may have the virus. The potentially infective respiratory droplets can, therefore, transmit to another person in the immediate environment.
Keep your personal hygiene; wear your masks to protect yourself and others!
