[西西之格：書店角落微型創作獎]

文字可以餵養文字、想像力可以滋生更多春天。自七十年代開始，香港重量級作家西西持續通過她的作品思考香港的處境。過去三年，「我們的西西・我們的城市」團隊舉辦了多場寫作坊，邀請學員閱讀西西的作品，出入於過去與現在，思考當下生活，發出自己的聲音。今天，我們把部分學員的作品寄養於覺閣、一拳書館及界限書店的角落，希望你來逛書店時，也順道來聽聽他們的聲音。如果你有所感，還可以向店員索取「西西之格」，根據指定的創作提示，即席揮毫。我們將選出部分作品，繼續寄養在書店角落裡，並在每間書店的投稿中，選出其中五篇，贈予每位作者港幣四百元書劵。
註：每人限於每間書店投稿一次。

Words can feed words, and the imagination can bring a new spring. Since the 1970s, Hong Kong’s iconic writer Xi Xi has reflected on this city through her writings. In the past three years, the “Our Xi Xi, Our City” team has organised a number of writing workshops, inviting participants to read Xi Xi’s works, travel in and out of the past and the present, ponder contemporary life, and make their own voices heard. Today, we have placed some of the participants’ works in the corners of Knock Knock, Book Punch, and Boundary Bookstore, and we invite you to listen to their voices when you drop by these bookstores. If you feel like it, you may even ask the staff for a “Xi Xi’s Square” to write your own piece on the spot based on our writing prompts. We will select some work and display them in the bookstore corners. Among the submissions at each bookstore, five submissions will be selected and the respective authors will receive a HK$400 book voucher.
Note: Each person is limited to one entry per bookstore.

[We are all living in a floating city with no roots.]

Through 13 surrealistic paintings by Belgian artist René Magritte, Xi Xi’s “Marvels of a Floating City” tells the story of a city suspended in mid-air, a place where every inhabitant bizarrely and collectively shares the same dream, where plants grow in the shape of birds without wings, so akin to Hong Kongers’ anxieties of the times. While probing into the possibilities of the future, Xi Xi pulls us back to the present in search of the truth.
History is repeating itself, and the tide of migration is recurring. Between the ascent and descent, our hearts, like those in Floating City, have become pigeons eager to fly but afraid of falling.

The earth is shaking and we have become accustomed to it. We are all just floating particles in the world. How can we live with our own insignificance?

【我們都活在沒有根的浮城】

西西的〈浮城誌異〉藉着十三幅比利時畫家馬格列特的超現實畫作，講述一座懸浮在半空的城市，那裏的人離奇地集體做着一樣的夢，這片土地還長出了鳥兒形狀卻沒有翅膀的植物，與香港人的時代憂慮是如此的相似。西西在叩問未來之可能性的同時，把我們拉回當下，尋找真實。

歷史在重演，移民潮再現。上升與下沉之間，我們的心都與浮城人一樣，成了渴望飛翔卻又害怕墮下的鴿子。

大地搖晃，我們習以為常。我們原是飄浮於世間的粒子，微不足道的我們該如何自處？

齊來開辦［我們的西西．我們的城市］寫作坊!
「我們的西西・我們的城市」寫作坊以西西的《美麗大廈》 、《哀悼乳房》及〈浮城誌異〉作為出發點，借鑑作家觀察城市的獨特角度及寫作手法，鼓勵學員投入個人經驗，寫出自身的故事，讓一個多元的香港變得更可見。
由2021年起，我們以線上及實體形式與多間團體合辦寫作坊。其中包括《香港中學生文藝月刊》、七份一書店、Migrant Writers of Hong Kong、基督教聯合醫院健康資源中心、香港善導會及一拳書館等。

Collaborate with us to organise "Our Xi Xi, Our City" writing workshops!
“Our Xi Xi, Our City” writing workshops focus on three literary works by Xi Xi, The Merry Building, Elegy of a Breast, and “The Marvels of a Floating City.” Building upon Xi Xi's distinctive perspective on city observation and her writing techniques, these workshops inspire participants to draw from their personal experiences into crafting their own narratives. Through these written expressions, our goal is to illuminate the diverse cultures and lives in Hong Kong, rendering them more visible.
Since 2021, we have organised various workshops both online and in person. Our partner organisations included Hong Kong Pupil Literature Monthly Magazine, Seventh Bookshops, Migrant Writers of Hong Kong, Health Resource Centre, United Christian Hospital, Society of Rehabilitation and Crime Prevention, and Book Punch, etc.

The Project is organised by the Department of Humanities and Creative Writing at Hong Kong Baptist University and supported by the Hong Kong Research Grants Council. 【西西的文字遊戲 — 城市的錯配】
上月於香港出沒的西貢鯨魚擱淺，到今日為止已超過了一個月。那種荒謬仍然叫人深刻。在香港，保育環境與都市生活就像一種錯配。
「我們的西西 ・ 我們的城市」網站一直提供遊戲文字的平台，讓大家參考西西的新詩《可不可以說》，進行量詞與名詞的錯誤配搭，實驗出有趣的結果。
有參加者留下了「一次小鯨魚」這個配搭，再次令人想起了人類最近鑄成的錯誤，導致無辜的生命受到不必要的折磨。犯一次錯，難免會吃一次惡果，但至少我們希望，人類會從錯誤中學習。

【Xi Xi's Word Game - Mismatch in the City】
It's been over a month since the stranding of the whale sighted in Sai Kung, Hong Kong. The absurdity of the situation is still profound. Environmental conservation and urban life in Hong Kong often resemble a mismatch.
The website "Our Xi Xi ・ Our City" provides a platform for word plays, allowing everyone to experiment with mismatches of quantifiers and nouns with interesting results by referring to Xi Xi's poem "Can We Say".
One participant came up with the mismatch " one occasion of a little whale", which reminds us again of the recent man-made mishaps that have led to the unnecessary suffering of innocent beings. Making a mistake will inevitably lead to an unfortunate consequence. Still, at least, we hope that humans will learn from our mistakes.

〈碗〉是我首篇接觸的西西作品，結尾至今仍牢牢扎根心中：「伊使我抬起頭來，向高處看，向遠處看。我仰望樹，仰望天空，我看見了沒有翅膀但會飛翔的雲層。」於是這段話伴我渡過了雲層般的大學四年。
很慶幸當初膽粗粗參加了是次計劃，在和不同參加者交流的過程中，也進一步加深了我對西西創作的認識。即使是同一篇作品，一樣的文字，在不同人讀來，都會因各自經歷不一而產生不同的感受。透過文字與讀者玩遊戲，發揮想象，也許就是寫作、閱讀的樂趣。希望那沒有翅膀但會飛翔的雲層，仍舊浮游在我城的腦海中，承載著每一個獨特的想法。

人文及創作系畢業生，文藝推廣平台小讀讀成員，曾為七份一書店「小寫」店長。

近來重讀《西西詩集》，最喜歡的詩還是〈可不可以說〉，不晦澀、概念非常創新、又以童稚語言顛覆權威的說法。〈許多女子〉、〈蝴蝶輕〉、〈書寫的人〉、〈獅子座流星雨〉等等也喜歡，慢慢接通到西西在詩中埋下的感情。

享受透過一齊讀西西的作品，聽到參加者盡情分享。原來大家曾觀察到如此特別的人、事，只是沒有人問起，沒有機會分享。原來大家對理想生活環境，有如此不同的需要和想像。原來面對同一個作品，大家會想起自己不同的面向……讀西西，也是讀著我城裡的一個個人呢。

多年前曾匆忙讀過一遍西西的小說〈像我這樣的一個女子〉，自此就留下深刻印象。而在這次計劃中，我們深入欣賞西西的作品，並將所學的知識與他人分享，以文學在城市中建立起人情的橋樑。我在讀《美麗大廈》後，有一次與友人經過土瓜灣的某座大廈時，忍不住停下腳步，那些在腦海中浮游的文字全化為街道的氣味和人流的雜聲。雖然門是緊閉，但西西的文字如同鑰匙，任由我們穿梭於城市中不同角落。

能夠讀到西西的作品，能夠與各位熱衷創作的朋友為鄰，是我的榮幸。
