DVB (Sport) students turned theory into practice, designing fun, interactive sports sessions that inspire younger students to embrace teamwork, coordination, and a lifelong love for staying active, all while nurturing a healthier, brighter future.

✨活動回顧｜Vintage Hong Kong @ 深圳✨
YCI學生早前參與由香港民政及青年事務局支持、香港賽馬會慈善信託基金贊助、融HUB主辦的《Vintage Hong Kong 香港再造》，於深圳K11ECOAST北館舉行的Vintage Day時裝秀。

這不僅是一場時裝表演，更是一段文化旅程。 YCI 學生透過搜集資料、訪談長輩與古着店主，重新理解不同年代服飾背後的生活方式與價值觀。時裝，原來是城市記憶的載體。

學生將復古與現代交織，展現獨特創意與美學設計。這場跨地域的交流，為香港復古文化注入新活力。

✨Event Recap｜Vintage Hong Kong @ Shenzhen ✨
Earlier this year, YCI students joined “Vintage Hong Kong”, supported by the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau, sponsored by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, and hosted by Fusion HUB. The centerpiece was the Vintage Day showcase at Shenzhen’s K11ECOAST North Hall.

This wasn’t just a fashion show. It was a deep dive into culture. By researching and speaking with elders and vintage shop owners, students uncovered how clothing from different periods mirrored the city’s lifestyle and values. Fashion revealed itself as a vessel of memory and identity.

Hong Kong and Shenzhen youth worked side by side, weaving retro flair with modern creativity. Their collaboration sparked fresh energy for vintage culture, ensuring its legacy continues to evolve.

Our DVB (Engineering) & DVB (Design) students wowed the crowd at the HSBC SMART Community Hackathon 2025, earning recognition with their AI-powered sign language system. By combining digital twin tech, they created a project that breaks communication barriers and promotes inclusion for the deaf and the hard of hearing. 💡✨

Our award recipients are Desmond Liu, a student from the Sport Programme, and Ernest Ngai, from the Engineering Programme.
