Tung Wah College - TWC 東華學院 2010年東華學院正式成立，並於2011年正式成為一所可頒授學士學位的專上學院

東華學院是由東華三院成立，以自負盈虧之形式運作。秉承東華三院在醫療、教育及社會福利服務及其他相關範疇的專長和優勢，東華學院致力建立成為一所具知名度的私立專上學院，為高中畢業生提供以實踐為本、並能於私營機構及非牟利團體就業的各項高質素課程。

東華學院及其課程已通過香港學術及職業資歷評審局的評審並已獲教育局確認，在《專上學院條例》（第320章）下正式註冊成為認可專上學院。

【東華學院與香港基督教女青年會簽署合作備忘錄】

東華學院於 2026 年 9 月 3 日與香港基督教女青年會簽署合作備忘錄，推動雙方在學術和專業知識交流、研究合作、學生實習、專業培訓及社區服務等範疇的協作，為學生提供更多前線實習及應用學習的機會，共同推動優質而全面的社會服務。

合作備忘錄由東華學院校長陳慧慈教授及香港基督教女青年會總幹事楊建霞女士代表簽署，並由東華學院副校長（學術）文偉光教授及香港基督教女青年會高級總監（基層及社區醫療服務）黎景光醫生共同見證。

憑藉東華學院在護理及醫療健康教育方面的專業優勢，以及香港基督教女青年會在婦女、兒童及家庭、青少年及長者等多元服務領域累積的豐富經驗與廣泛網絡，雙方將攜手拓展社區健康服務及學生實習等合作機會，並已就基層醫療、人工智能及智慧健康等範疇共同推展三項合作研究，以提升社會及醫療健康服務質素、研究影響力與專業發展水平。

展望未來，隨著北部都會區大學城的發展蓄勢待發，學院期望進一步與香港基督教女青年會深化在北都基層醫療及社區支援等方面的合作，攜手推動可持續的社區服務發展，惠澤社群。

【Tung Wah College Signs an MOU with Hong Kong Young Women's Christian Association】

Tung Wah College (TWC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Hong Kong Young Women's Christian Association (HKYWCA) on 3 September 2026. The two parties will foster cooperation and engagement in areas including academic and professional knowledge exchange, collaborative research, clinical or field placement opportunities for students, professional training workshops, and community service initiatives. The collaboration will provide students with more frontline internships and applied learning opportunities, while promoting high-quality, comprehensive community and social services.

The MOU was signed by Professor Sally Chan, President of TWC, and Ms. Yvonne Yeung, Chief Executive of HKYWCA, and witnessed by Professor David Man, Vice-President (Academic) of TWC, and Dr. David Lai, Senior Director (Primary and Community Health Service) of HKYWCA.

Leveraging TWC's professional strengths in nursing and healthcare education, together with HKYWCA's extensive experience and broad network in serving women, children and families, youth, and the elderly, the two parties will explore further collaboration in the development of community health services and student internships. They are also collaborating on three research projects in primary health and AI-driven smart health innovation. These initiatives aim to enhance the quality of social and healthcare services, strengthen research impact, and advance professional development.

Looking ahead, as the Northern Metropolis University Town gains momentum, TWC looks forward to further deepening its collaboration with HKYWCA in primary healthcare and community support in the Northern Metropolis. Together, the two parties will promote the sustainable development of community services for the benefit of the wider community.

【東華學院與廣州華銀康醫療集團簽訂合作備忘錄 共建生物醫學實驗科學課程】

東華學院上周與廣州華銀康醫療集團股份有限公司簽訂合作備忘錄，雙方將共同籌辦生物醫學實驗科學學士課程，涵蓋臨床檢驗、分子診斷及病理技術三大專業方向。雙方現正積極推進課程籌備工作，期望最快於 2028/29 學年招收首屆學生。

是次合作圍繞課程共建、人才培養及科研轉化三大方向。華銀康將向東華學院捐贈教學設備，共建符合臨床檢驗標準的生物醫學實驗室，並開放旗下全國實驗室供學生實習；其專家亦會參與課程設計，並優先聘用學院畢業生。學院轄下的智慧健康應用研究中心亦將與華銀康共同推動科研成果落地，惠及大眾。

東華學院校長陳慧慈教授表示，是次合作標誌雙方在醫學教育及產教融合方面邁出重要一步，將為學生提供更多向業內專才學習的機會，以回應行業發展需要，並攜手推動生物醫學實驗科學的專業發展。華銀康董事長黃春波先生則強調，是次合作是產學研一體化的全新實踐，期望深化與香港醫療界及學術界的聯動，探索粵港醫療產業協同的更多方向。

配合國家「十五五」規劃加快建設「健康中國」的發展方向，學院相信是次合作有助進一步促進香港與內地在教育、科研及產業方面的交流與對接，為粵港澳大灣區醫療健康事業發展注入新動力。

【Tung Wah College and Guangzhou Huayin Health Group Sign MOU to Jointly Develop Biomedical Laboratory Science Programme】

Tung Wah College signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Guangzhou Huayin Health Group Co., Ltd. (Huayin Group) last week to jointly develop a Bachelor programme in Biomedical Laboratory Science. The programme will cover three major areas of specialisation: clinical laboratory testing, molecular diagnostics and pathological technology. Preparatory work is currently under way, with the first cohort expected to be admitted as early as the 2028/29 academic year.

The collaboration will focus on three key areas: joint curriculum development, talent nurturing and research translation. Huayin Group will donate teaching and laboratory equipment to Tung Wah College to support the co-establishment of a biomedical laboratory that meets clinical testing standards. It will also provide students with internships opportunities at its laboratories nationwide. Its experts will also contribute to curriculum design, while giving priority consideration to employing graduates of the programme. Meanwhile, TWC’s Smart Health Applied Research Centre will collaborate with Huayin Group to translate research outcomes into practical applications that benefit the wider community.

Professor Sally Chan, President of TWC, said that the collaboration marks an important step forward in medical education and industry-education integration. It will provide students with more opportunities to learn from industry experts, respond to evolving industry needs, and jointly advance the development of biomedical laboratory science profession. Mr. Huang Chunbo, Chairman of Huayin Group, described the collaboration as a new model of integrated industry–academia–research partnership. He expressed hope that it would deepen ties with Hong Kong’s healthcare and academic sectors, while creating further opportunities to advance synergy in the Guangdong-Hong Kong medical industry.

In line with the national direction to accelerate the development of a “Healthy China” under the 15th Five-Year Plan, TWC believes that the collaboration will further promote exchange and connectivity between Hong Kong and the Mainland in education, research and industry, injecting new impetus into healthcare development in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

今個暑假，東華學院迎來 34 位來自新加坡理工大學（SIT）物理治療、職業治療及放射診斷學學生，展開為期兩週的交流與學習活動。✨📚

學院安排了一系列的課堂、分享會及跨專業教育活動，讓同學認識香港醫療制度，以及物理治療、職業治療、醫療影像、放射治療和護理等專業的發展與應用，了解不同專業如何攜手為病人提供全面護理。🩺 同學亦參觀科學園、中大醫院及長者護理中心等機構，了解香港科研、醫療及長者服務的發展；又遊覽大澳及長洲，探索香港的地道文化與特色美食。🌊🏝️

三位 SIT 物理治療學生 Ashley、Jen Fai 及 Bernice 分享，今次交流讓他們對香港專職醫療及護理有更深入的認識，並了解香港與新加坡在醫療制度及專業運作上的異同。

Ashely 表示，參觀學院的實驗室及先進設備，讓她親身了解科技如何應用於專職醫療。💪🏻 Jen Fai 則對學院師生的熱情款待留下深刻印象，讓他從中感受到香港的生活文化及獨特魅力。🥳🤩 Bernice 提到，交流團安排的活動豐富多元，在課室學習以外，她透過與本地學生的互動交流、實地參觀及體驗活動，從不同角度認識香港的醫療專業。🌏💙

【TWC x Singapore Institute of Technology Exchange Programme 🇭🇰🤝🇸🇬】

This summer, Tung Wah College (TWC) welcomed 34 students from the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT), studying physiotherapy, occupational therapy and diagnostic radiography, for a two-week exchange and learning programme. ✨📚

Through a series of lectures, sharing sessions and interprofessional education activities, the students learned about Hong Kong’s healthcare system, as well as the development and application of physiotherapy, occupational therapy, medical imaging, radiotherapy and nursing in Hong Kong. The programme gave them a better understanding of how different healthcare professionals work together to provide holistic patient care. 🩺

The SIT students also visited Hong Kong Science Park, CUHK Medical Centre and elderly care facilities to learn more about the development of research, healthcare and elderly care in Hong Kong. They also explored Tai O and Cheung Chau, experiencing local culture and sampling Hong Kong’s distinctive cuisine. 🌊🏝️

Three SIT physiotherapy students, Ashley, Jen Fai and Bernice shared that the exchange gave them a deeper understanding of allied health and nursing in Hong Kong, as well as the similarities and differences between Hong Kong and Singapore in terms of healthcare systems and professional practices.

Ashley said that visiting TWC’s laboratories and advanced facilities provided valuable insight into how technology can be applied to allied health. 💪🏻 Jen Fai was deeply impressed by the warm hospitality of TWC’s teachers and students, and enjoyed exploring Hong Kong’s culture and discovering the city’s unique charm. 🥳🤩 Bernice appreciated the diverse range of activities, which allowed them to learn beyond the classroom through interactive exchanges with local students, visits and hands-on experiences, while gaining a broader perspective on healthcare professions in Hong Kong. 🌏💙

【東華學院數碼精神健康轉化研究中心參與「 2026 心理學與精神健康博覽會」🧠💙】

東華學院數碼精神健康轉化研究中心（TRC-DMH）於 8 月上旬參與由香港創新心理學會主辦、在啟德 AIRSIDE 舉行的「2026 心理學與精神健康博覽會」。

東華學院十分榮幸獲邀成為是次活動的支持機構，校長陳慧慈教授亦應邀擔任開幕嘉賓，與各界攜手推廣社區精神健康。博覽會以「心理健康村莊」為主題，TRC-DMH 於現場展示了多項研究成果及創新科技，包括「數碼友伴」長者應用程式、沉浸式懷緬治療虛擬實境系統，以及人工智能社交機械人，讓大眾了解數碼科技在精神健康護理上的創新應用。💡

【TWC’s Translational Research Centre for Digital Mental Health Exhibited at the Psychology and Mental Health Fair 2026 🧠💙】

The Translational Research Centre for Digital Mental Health (TRC-DMH) at Tung Wah College (TWC) participated in the “Psychology and Mental Health Fair 2026”, organised by the Hong Kong Society of Psychological Innovation and held at AIRSIDE, Kai Tak in early August.

TWC was honoured to serve as a supporting organisation for the event. Professor Sally Chan, President of TWC, was also invited as an officiating guest for the opening ceremony, joining community leaders to champion mental wellness across society. Under the theme “Mental Health Village”, TRC-DMH showcased a range of research outcomes and advanced technologies, including the “Digital Buddy” App for Older Adults, an immersive virtual reality reminiscence therapy system, and AI-enabled social robotics, offering visitors hands-on insights into the real-world applications of digital technology in mental health support. 💡

Thank you to everyone who visited and supported our booth! The College will continue its commitment to advancing mental wellness, while encouraging everyone to look after their mental well-being in daily life.✨
