I moved to HK in 2011 with my Chinese wife and started teaching English in November that year. We are now living in Sham Shui Po near our son, his wife and our granddaughter. Our granddaughter's English has improved immensely since we arrived. Also she is doing much better at school in maths, Cantonese and Mandarin!

Dyslexia has an interesting place in ESL, as it's not always as clear that this is the problem when the child can't explain their difficulties in English. However, we need to be aware that this might well be the issue, and help them cope.
