This indefatigable septuagenarian puts fear into the hearts of the shifty classes as he cruises the streets of Wanchai, Lan Kwai Fong and Soho on his iridescent V twin chopper, or on his Cutty Sark clipper menacingly moored on Victoria Harbour. My first road trip to the West, '69 after Easyrider and Dylan's Don't Look Back release, stuck thumbing a ride a day in Pt Augusta before jumping the freight train to Perth, jumping off in Kalgoolie, Boulder and onto Kambalda to become a grizzly man and powder monkey's assistant down a mine under the saltpan, Lake Lefroy. Next year, travelling on a Triumph hit the dirt patch of the Nullabor post Ceduna to be rained on turning the track into a claypan, dropped the bike and pillion, picked ourselves up and kept going only to break down in the night to sleep among giant scorpians and centipedes the size of semi-trailers, finally making it to Royal Chambers in Kalgoolie again and Paddy Hannan's pub. Crazy times, yeah I can relate to this song, it's up there with Hunter S's Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.....

Hong Kong last year! Wake up people in the west, never give away the freedoms you have that were hard won by those before you who fought and in many cases gave their lives to bring about the conditions so bountiful for you today.
If those freedoms are taken away, the job to rescue them is of almost insurmountable proportions. It took a young teenager, Joshua Wong, to stand his ground against all odds to see people still could have a voice in their own future. No one could possibly have foreseen what the result of his stand would bring about, nor those for that of Martin Luther King, nor Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, and so forth.....

Paul Shapiro, on bass, came to Hong Kong after a legendary superstar music career in the Philippines. Mike Salcedo, on drums and vocals ,comes from another Philippine family musical dynasty that includes his older sister, Penny Salcedo, winner of WCOPA awards in Hollywood, and others too numerous to mention. Together they turn anything from the Foo Fighters to AC/DC into totally new interpretations that delight and amaze the listener.
