We aim to develop a multifaceted musical and cultural movement that is firmly rooted among the people, and so as to share with the WORLD the real pleasure and inspiration that comes from enjoying music and the performing arts. We shall endeavor to contribute to a flourishing of music and art in the new age by enhancing musical and cultural activities and developing musical programs designed to cultivate the artistic sentiments of children and youth. We shall seek to deepen mutual understandings and friendships among all countries by promoting global music and cultural exchanges that transcend differences of nationality, race and language. The Flooded Arts Movement was initiated as a partial script for a conceptual short music documentary envisioned by Sean Able and to be co-written by Stanley Butler. As the story line developed, and certain other real life events heavily inspired the documentary, it was decided to make it into two parts. The first part would be a slightly fictionalized guerilla flick filmed in a reality TV style production and then follow onto a Music Documentary. The second part was to feature heavily around Red Fern Sydney, and Mongkok / Shum Shui Po Hong Kong involving Hip-Hop artists of Minority and Indigenous backgrounds. Around this time in December and January the devastating floods and tampered weather patterns wreaked havoc on Queensland, NSW, Victoria and much of rural Australia. (including Tasmania). After witnessing the devastation and knowing the impact it had on each parties respective home towns, a deep motivation to do more inspired "THE FLOODED ARTS" movement. There will be a plethora of updates on what's coming up here, but our focus is to reveal the truth, shock and unify people through all creative means. Much like the Egyptians, and the belief of the Australian Aboriginal people the best time to plant the seeds of hope, was after a FLOOD & when the dirty mud and grime was spread far and wide. My first road trip to the West, '69 after Easyrider and Dylan's Don't Look Back release, stuck thumbing a ride a day in Pt Augusta before jumping the freight train to Perth, jumping off in Kalgoolie, Boulder and onto Kambalda to become a grizzly man and powder monkey's assistant down a mine under the saltpan, Lake Lefroy. Next year, travelling on a Triumph hit the dirt patch of the Nullabor post Ceduna to be rained on turning the track into a claypan, dropped the bike and pillion, picked ourselves up and kept going only to break down in the night to sleep among giant scorpians and centipedes the size of semi-trailers, finally making it to Royal Chambers in Kalgoolie again and Paddy Hannan's pub. Crazy times, yeah I can relate to this song, it's up there with Hunter S's Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.....

Hong Kong last year! Wake up people in the west, never give away the freedoms you have that were hard won by those before you who fought and in many cases gave their lives to bring about the conditions so bountiful for you today.
If those freedoms are taken away, the job to rescue them is of almost insurmountable proportions. It took a young teenager, Joshua Wong, to stand his ground against all odds to see people still could have a voice in their own future. Mike Salcedo, on drums and vocals ,comes from another Philippine family musical dynasty that includes his older sister, Penny Salcedo, winner of WCOPA awards in Hollywood, and others too numerous to mention.
