Our Architecture students and staff recently brought creativity, sustainability, and hands-on learning together through the development of a sustainable house design model.
Using everyday and readily available materials, they transformed an idea on paper into a tangible model that you can see, touch, and explore.
This is what meaningful TVET education looks like. Learning by doing, creating with purpose, and finding innovative ways to turn ideas into reality.

A Proud Milestone for NATI and Occupational Safety & Health in Guyana! 🇬🇾🦺

New Amsterdam Technical Institute is proud to be home to the newly commissioned Occupational Safety and Health Centre of Excellence, a significant investment in the future of technical and vocational education, workforce development, and workplace safety in Guyana.

The Centre will serve as the official home of the CVQ Level 3 Occupational Safety and Health Programme, providing learners with opportunities for practical training, applied learning, field-based exercises, and competency development. It also strengthens NATI’s role in preparing highly skilled professionals who can contribute to safer workplaces across Guyana and the wider Caribbean.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the The Greater Guyana Initiative, Ministry of Education, Council for TVET, and LearnCorp International for the collaboration and investment that made this Centre a reality.

For NATI, this milestone represents more than new infrastructure. It represents an opportunity to raise the standard of safety education, strengthen technical capacity, and help develop a culture where safety becomes an integral part of how we learn and work.
We are excited about the journey ahead and the impact this Centre will have on our students, industry partners, communities, and workforce.

Today, the New Amsterdam Technical Institute joined the global call to raise awareness, encourage meaningful conversations, and remind one another that every life matters.

Through an engaging activity with our staff and students, we created space to reflect on the importance of looking out for one another, listening without judgment, and reaching out when someone may be struggling.

Students of the NATI Environmental Club, along with staff from the Plumbing Occupational Area, participated in a capacity-building session facilitated by Recover Guyana.

Participants were introduced to the water purification system, gaining valuable knowledge about its operation, application, and importance in promoting sustainable water management.

The session provided an excellent opportunity for our students and staff to strengthen their knowledge and connect environmental awareness with practical technical skills.

At NATI, we remain committed to fostering a strong culture of safety, preparedness, and responsibility across our institution.

All registered students are expected to report to the Institute from August 31, 2026.

Students are encouraged to ensure that they are present and ready for the commencement of the new academic year.
