🕊️ In Loving Memory of Miss Denise McCurdy 🕊️
Today marks 11 years since the passing of Miss Denise McCurdy, former Head of the Industrial Technology Department at New Amsterdam Multilateral School.
For over three decades, Miss McCurdy dedicated her life to the advancement of Industrial Technology education at the New Amsterdam Multilateral School.
She carried the Industrial Technology Department at NAMS through a time when resources were scarce and Technical and Industrial Technology subjects were often unfairly regarded as areas for low-achieving students. Despite those challenges and perceptions, Miss McCurdy remained steadfast. She kept the Department going, championed the value of technical education, and demonstrated through her work and her students that Industrial Technology was an important and respected pathway through which young people could develop knowledge, skills, discipline, creativity, and purpose. Her legacy is deeply woven into the fabric of Multi's history. The recognition and respect the NAMS Department of Industrial Technology has today, is built on the foundation Miss Mac, as she was affectionately called, constructed. The teachers and students of the NAMS Industrial Technology Department, remember her today with profound respect, admiration, and gratitude.
Gone, but never forgotten.
May her soul continue to rest in eternal peace. 🕊️

14 Year- Old Akeila Ritch who attends New Amsterdam Secondary School placed 2nd in the Quiz and Spelling Competition. Akeila was apart of the Summer School Programme hosted by the university. Throughout the programme she was taught the art of public speaking, emotional Intelligence, conflict resolution, goal setting and knowing self- worth. All the best for the new school term in September Akeila

Our Grade 11 students continue to make excellent progress on their CSEC School-Based Assessment (SBA) practicals. After completing their concrete, welding, sheet metal and electrical installation projects, the focus now shifts to the furniture project component of the SBA.
By working hard to complete their practical projects before the start of the new school year, they will have more time to focus on studying and preparing for the written component of the CSEC examination.

The New Amsterdam Secondary School family extends heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Wahid Omar, Mr. Surendra Winjajellum, Mr. Colin Bowry, and Mr. Billy La Bennett on their recent senior promotions.
