GITC Outreach to Tucville and Plaisance Secondary Schools
The Guyana Industrial Training Centre (GITC) conducted sensitization sessions at Tucville Secondary School and Plaisance Secondary School as part of its ongoing commitment to promoting Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) among young people.
The sessions were facilitated by Mr. Lawrence Jeffers and Mr. Nivon Lilly, who provided valuable information on the programmes and training opportunities available at GITC. Students were encouraged to explore technical and vocational education as a pathway to acquiring practical skills, securing meaningful employment, and contributing to national development.
At Plaisance Secondary School, both students and parents were in attendance, providing an excellent opportunity for families to learn more about the benefits of technical training and the career opportunities available through GITC. The interactive discussions allowed participants to ask questions and gain a deeper understanding of the institution's role in developing Guyana's workforce.
We extend our sincere appreciation to the Headteachers, staff, students, and parents of both schools for warmly welcoming our team and providing the opportunity to share this important information.
