Kindly take note that the distribution of the Because We Care Cash Grant will take place on June 30, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at North Georgetown Secondary School.

To the , yesterday marked not just the end of your final CSEC examination, but the beginning of everything you’ve worked so hard for.

Over the past five years, you’ve built more than knowledge. You’ve created friendships, shared laughter, faced challenges, and grown into remarkable young individuals. Each of you has left your mark on NGSS hallways, and your presence will be deeply remembered.

Whether it was the final signatures on uniforms, the laughter shared in between exams, or the quiet realization that a chapter was closing, know this: you’ve made it, and you should be truly proud of how far you’ve come.

Congratulations on completing this journey with resilience, heart, and determination. Your legacy lives on in every memory made and every life you’ve touched.

Graduation is still ahead, but yesterday we celebrate you, your journey, your growth, your impact, and your future.

Minister of Education, Hon. Sonia Parag, moments ago announced that the distribution of the $85,000 Because We Care Cash Grant will commence on June 29, 2026. Each school-aged child will receive $60,000 for the ‘Because we Care’ grant, a $5000 uniform allowance, and a $20,000 transportation grant.

Minister Parag made the announcement during the regional consultation in Region 5 on anti-bullying and anti-violence policies for schools.

Parents, students, teachers, and all relevant stakeholders are kindly asked to take note of the upcoming examinations and to ensure timely and diligent preparation.
