Our Story

GACF- Emotional Intelligence- (EQ) & Mindfulness Network is a pillar of the Give Another Chance Foundation; a charitable and non- profit Organisation. We bring the opportunity of awareness to children, youths and young adults on Emotional Intelligence and Mindfulness through workshops and social media. Although the concept of Emotional Intelligence have been around since the early 20th century, the term was only introduced in 1985 by Wayne Payne. The Give Another Chance Foundation brought Emotional Intelligence & Mindfulness awareness under their umbrella here in Guyana on November, 2018 in collaboration with Six Seconds; a California- based international non- profit Organisation,who is dedicated to the awareness of Emotional Intelligence. The GACF- Emotional Intelligence - (EQ) & Mindfulness Network was inaugurated on November 18th, 2018 by an Emotional Intelligence awareness Walk & Pop - Up Festival; which promoted recognition of our children’s emotions, well-being and rights. We boast the privilege and opportunity to be the first to host an event on this cause in Guyana which introduced awareness to our children to better understand self- management and self- awareness which will give them a better insight and control over their actions and emotions.
