Mr. Roy Geddes is kindly asking your association to pay a visit to the Roy Geddes
Steel Pan Museum. It has been in existence for a number of years. Mr. and Mrs. Roy.
Geddes are in charge of the Museum.

I would like to list some of my achievements over the years of my life to development and excellence of steel pan art form, not seasonal but fulltime, also I am the recipient of the two National Awards Medal of Service in 1971, and Golden Arrow of Achievement in 1996 for my excellent and sterling contribution to Guyana as Steel Drum Musical Technologist, Pan Tuner, Arranger, Player and Social Worker among the youths who were associated with the Roy Geddes Silvertones.

Here is a short description of the Steel Pan Museum; it features a photographic display of steel band highlights throughout the years in Guyana. There are also the names
of pioneers and demonstration of how the steel pan is made.

The importance of the Steel Pan Museum is to preserve the history of the art form so that future generations can have authentic information about it.
