Our focus on moral, social, and cultural experiences sets our students apart. COLAACO comprises three departments: Pre-K, Nursery, and Primary. Our students benefit from top-notch education delivered by skilled, certified, and compassionate teachers, leading to consistent success in the National Grade Six Assessment. Over the past 6 years, our school has maintained a 100% pass rate with an average of 85%. Notably, our students achieved outstanding results in the recent NGSA exam, scoring 98% in Science, 98% in English Language, 96% in Mathematics, and 95% in Social Studies. These exceptional grades reflect the positive impact of our school on student performance, with an average score exceeding 80% in key subjects. In addition to academics,
our curriculum includes music, dance, and drama to provide a holistic learning experience. COLAACO offers the lowest school fees in the country, ranging from $24,000 per term for Pre-K to $36,000 per term for Grades 4 to 6. To sustain affordable fees, we rely on fundraising events, donations, and grants for additional support. Managed by the Education Management Committee of the African Cultural and Development Association, registered under the Friendly Societies Act in Guyana, COLAACO is overseen by a 7-member Board of Directors elected annually from the general membership at the Annual General Meeting (EMCOA). The committee includes the Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer, Principal, and three committee members, one of whom represents the Parent-Teachers Association of COLAACO. We welcome you to join our community at COLAACO, where we are more than just a school; we are a family!
