This morning I am reading Psalm29 and asking Holy Spirit to reveal the glory due unto His name. How many of you remember that hymn 'How sweet the name of Jesus sounds in a believer's ear'? Let's call that name constantly today. Love and blessings.
Dominion Schools
This school can be located on 112 Regent Street, Bourda behind the Fedricks Floral Flower Shop. You cant miss it!!!!!!!!!
It's good to be home with family and loved ones, to enjoy the play and chatter of the children, to continue to share with them that Jesus Christ is Lord.
Friday was very busy. Parent Timothy Morrison joined me in signing for the grant from IDPADA-G that allows the creation of Dominion Schools Seedlings Store. You are reading right. October is preparation month. I need to give/sell much of what I have to make space at the back for the shade house. We can have a plant sale right at school, 112 Regent Road, Bourda, on Friday 11th from 2pm to 4:30pm. Do spread the word around.
This week is sports. I am glad that we are so close to the gardens. The open space is so necessary for the children. Now that we have lost the space next door we may have to timetable gardens time next term. I am grateful to Mr Hamid for letting us use the space while it was available.
Today I praise God for who He is: Creator, Redeemer, Healer, Peacemaker, Provider Protector. Jesus, Son of man, Seed of the woman sustaining His Crushing of the serpent's head. Let us share what He is doing with the little ones that they might know that Jesus Christ is Lord. Our daily victory is through Him. Love and blessings.
Rejoice in the Lord always. Pray without ceasing. Give thanks in all things.... 1Thess5:16 to 18. I keep wondering why the apostle Paul put these verses together.
At school this week our circumstances have demanded all of them. We have to rejoice in the Lord always as we acknowledge His supremacy, His ability to cause all things to work together for our good as we love Him, His declaration that if He is for us who could be against us. We have to pray without ceasing considering the fraility of each of us and the variety of things that can upset and disrupt routines in our families and in school. We have to give thanks in all things because He is our Almighty God, Wonderful Counselor, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace and friend that sticks closer than a brother, redeemer kinsman, good shepherd plus. Let us continue to obey Paul in all three commands. We are blessed as we do. Love and blessings.
Praise God for blessing in many ways. Jesus Christ is Lord and as we commit our needs to Him, He takes on the load and labour.
During December '22 regular flooding forced us to raise the floor of the building significantly during the holidays. Shortly after we realised that the roof and western wall also needed fixing. Week by week things emerged pointing to the need for major physical make over. A parent put us on to a contractor who was willing to discuss and suggest the order of work and give estimates. Both the wall and the roof required more than estimated. The floor was only painted. The August holidays were devoted to the building. Many times I praised God for putting it in Tamu's heart to remigrate. Richard kept pace with the builders pitching in. as he could. The 23- academic year was a learning experience. We embraced the Venezuelans, focused on learning about Africa, accepted Joy's transition and prepared for the trip to Ghana and London although we knew we had not done the fundraising proposed. Towards the end of the year Teacher Andria suggested a fundraising raffle to enable tiling of the floor. We praise God that the tiling of the Nursery and Grade 1classrooms is almost complete.
God is showing us daily that He is what the Bible says He is. We want our families to know that He is faithful in ALL His ways. No one compares. He is sovereign. Love and blessings

God continues to be so good. The owner of the empty lots west of us has always let us use them for the children to play and for some practical science/agriculture. Over time we planted plants that produce seeds like ochro, callaloo, blackeye, bora, pumpkin, peppers, pakchoy, corilla, basil and a host of fruit plants. We also grew many plants that do not produce seeds like turmeric, ginger, edoe, sweet potato, thyme, pineapple, aloe, sugarcane and ornamentals. We encouraged the children to also plant at home. We even teamed up with a parent who was a nurse to take plants to the mothers at her clinic. The space also allowed the boys to catch grasshoppers and all the children to observe insects at different stages of development.During last term he signaled his readiness to build. For quite a few Fridays after that children ate and took home sugarcane, the bigger boys dug up sweet potatoes which we cooked and reaped two bunches of bananas. It looked like the end of agriculture.
The back of the school looks terrible now but come January we should be able to produce seedlings for sale, and have each class involved in agriculture.
I must mention how pleased I was one afternoon this week. I was in the Grade1 room and they were colouring when one child started sing Jesus' love is bubbling over. Soon the entire class seemed to be singing softly as they continued. I don't think all the children knew all the words but it was lovely to hear them. In devotions this week we sought to illustrate John10:10, abundant life. We used the life of David, shepherd boy anointed to be king. I pointed out that the abundant life still had problems. Saul wanted to kill him and he had to be on the run. His abundant life gave him love and peace that allowed him to spare Saul's life. Abundant life helps us to not retaliate when others do us wrong. We know God will protect us and bless us. Devotions is still a challenge but God is helping. Jesus Christ is Lord. We pray that each child will embrace Him during the year. Love and blessings.

God's amazing ability of bringing people in my path and the blessings that come with them is mind-blowing.
Taught one Venezuelan boy for NGSA23. That resulted in us having a a Venezuelan side in every grade and an in house Spanish teacher, allowing us to reintroduce Spanish, not done since Granny Payne's passing in 2012. The plan could not be fully implemented because the children for the 2024 exam did not have the command of English that Luis had. Teacher Andria teaches the Spanish children at Grades5,6. However, I keep feeling that we should produce topic books that present content in both languages. Today I met someone who has strengthened that feeling. If you would like to get involved in this project please contact me. Florine Dalgety, WhatsApp 6761423.
We belong to an awesome God. Jesus Christ is Lord forever and ever.

Jesus Christ is Lord and He is faithful in ALL His ways. The first week was significant. Our new students are settling in quickly and the parents are gems.
We had our first bilingual PTA yesterday afternoon. Elections of office bearers has never been so smooth. Every parent nominated accepted, eliminating the need to vote. I praise God.
It's the first year we're starting without Joy, big sister, mentor, advisor, intercessor, co-founder plus. God continues to show the need for utter dependence on Him. He is able to do exceeding abundantly above what we ask or think. What a wonderful Lord.
Today I shout out Hallelujah. God has faithfully allowed us to open our doors since 2001. God is faithful in ALL His ways.
Today I praise God for taking a small group: co-founder, Florine Dalgety, AA, past and present teachers, one parent and past pupils on our first overseas trip. He took us to Ghana through London. A fantastic trip and a desire since October 1978 to one day take pupils into Africa. Faithful God. Jesus Christ is Lord. He will grant us good success this year. Love and blessings
Today the group traveling to Ghana from Guyana went to the 11am service at South Road Full Gospel Assembly. God is so faithful, fulfilling a wish I had in October 1978, to take children into Africa. He is great and greatly to be praised.

We praise God for His presence, guidance, provision, protection, enabling and so much more throughout the last academic year. Embracing My Language Academy brought a richness of getting to know and befriend, learn from and teach, listen, love and grow together with the many Venezuelan families. Praise God.
The project Welcome to Africa expanded our knowledge and increased our desire to want to experience that part of our heritage totally unknown. The decision to take a group of pupils in 2024 fulfills a wish from 1978. Not many children are in this first trip, but we trust that many more will be on next year's visit. Teacher Tamu and Teacher Abigail have worked consistently to make Ghana2024 possible. We thank them profusely.
Co-founder, Teacher Joy went home to glory in February. She was stellar and stalwart. We praise God for raising up others who embrace the vision and mission and commit to moving forward.
It was not easy to say goodbye to Teacher Ann. She was here almost from the inception. Thanks Teacher Ann. We miss you. May God continue to bless you. We thank Teacher Ruth and Teacher Nedelya for loving, insightful, nurturing and sincere inputs. May God continue to bless you. Thanks Teacher Stacey and Teacher Cyria for joining us and adding vibrant inclusiveness. We love you. Thanks Teacher Sceerena for loving and holding the little ones. Thanks Teacher Sybil for consistent, astute involvement. Teacher Tamu's unwritten list of duties increases like a germinating seedling. How do we say thanks? We love you. God bless you. Thanks Teacher Richard for keeping the kitchen going and being alert to the needs of the facility.
We will be busy during the holidays. Next year promises to bring more adjustments. Jesus Christ is Lord. Hallelujah. We depend on Him as we move forward.
Jesus Christ is Lord.I praise Him for the plans He has and the Words He speaks. His Words never are wasted or void.
Although we did not have full representation of parents at the PTA meeting last Thursday those there did accept our Welcome to Africa project. As next year is the last year of the decade we want to take a group of parents and pupils, including former pupils to Africa next year. Anyone who knows former pupils please share with them.
Have a wonderful day. Praise God that He made you wonderfully. Psalm 139. Love and blessings.
