Theme: “Changing the Narrative on Su***de”
Call to Action: “Start the Conversation.”

On World Su***de Prevention Day 2026, New Eden School of Excellence joined with communities around the world in promoting awareness, compassion, understanding, and the importance of meaningful conversations.

Our pupils participated in this special awareness activity by proudly wearing yellow ribbons in their hair and yellow bows on their clothing. 💛 These symbols served as a reminder of the importance of caring for one another, showing kindness, listening to others, and creating an environment where everyone feels valued and supported.

At New Eden School of Excellence, we believe that every child matters, every voice deserves to be heard, and every person should know that they are valued. Through activities such as these, we encourage our pupils to develop empathy, kindness, and a willingness to support their friends, classmates, families, and wider community.

Today and tomorrow, our Grade Five pupils are sitting the National Grade Five Assessment (NGFA) 2026. As a school family, we are immensely proud of our pupils for their endurance, commitment to their studies, and the many sacrifices they have made in preparation for these examinations.

New Eden School of Excellence proudly hosted a special Father's Day Brunch in honour of our amazing fathers. Fathers who attended with their child or children enjoyed a wonderful time filled with fellowship, laughter, and appreciation.

We are grateful to all the fathers who took the time to celebrate with us and for the love, guidance, and support they provide to their children every day.

At New Eden School of Excellence, learning goes beyond chalkboards, books, and pencils. We believe in providing our pupils with meaningful experiences through a variety of extracurricular activities that encourage creativity, confidence, and self-expression.

Our pupils proudly participated in the "Anything Other Than a Book Bag" activity. They truly understood the assignment! The school compound was filled with excitement as students arrived with imaginative and creative alternatives to traditional school bags. Their bright smiles and enthusiasm made the day even more special.

We are proud of our pupils for thinking outside the box and showcasing their unique talents. Activities like these help to create a fun and engaging learning environment where every child can shine.

📖🇬🇾 New Eden School of Excellence Newsletter 🇬🇾📖

✨ Happy 60th Independence Anniversary to all proud Guyanese near and far — from Region 1 to Region 10, from the East Coast to the beautiful Hinterland, and to all our ethnic groups who make Guyana unique and strong. 🇬🇾

As we celebrate our 60th Diamond Jubilee, we at the New Eden School of Excellence proudly hosted a hive of activities for our pupils. Our Youth Week began with educational and informative tours around Georgetown, where pupils had the opportunity to learn and explore many important aspects of our country’s history and culture.

We concluded the celebrations with a spectacular Independence Concert where our talented pupils showcased their abilities through singing, dancing, modelling, and many other performances. It was truly a memorable occasion filled with patriotism, joy, and unity.

We extend sincere thanks to all our parents for their kind cooperation and continued support throughout these activities.
