💛 Reflecting on Su***de Prevention Day 💛

Last week, our school community came together to observe Su***de Prevention Day under the theme “Changing the Narrative on Su***de”.

Through meaningful activities, our students and staff were reminded of the importance of connection, compassion, and speaking up. It was an opportunity to encourage open conversations about mental health and to reinforce the message that reaching out for support can make a difference.

Let’s continue to look out for one another, listen without judgment, and create a society where everyone feels seen, valued, heard, and supported. 💛

✨ Learning Beyond the Classroom!✨

Our students had an exciting and enriching experience at the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Expo! 🔧⚙️💡

The Expo provided an excellent opportunity for our students to explore the world of technical and vocational education, discover new skills and career pathways, and gain valuable exposure to the opportunities available in TVET.

We are proud to see our students exploring, engaging, and learning beyond the classroom! 👏🏽📚

📚✨ Celebrating Literacy at Houston Secondary School! ✨📚

This past week, we celebrated World Literacy Day with a simple but powerful reminder: reading opens doors to knowledge, imagination and endless possibilities. 🌎📖

D. E. A. R - Drop Everything and Read

Our teachers and students came together to embrace the joy of reading, sharing moments of learning, discovery and inspiration. From the classroom to the reading space, every page turned is a step towards becoming a more confident and capable learner. 💚

At Houston Secondary School, we believe that every student can become a reader, and every reader can become a lifelong learner.

📖 Read. Learn. Grow. Succeed.
💚 Building a culture of literacy, one page at a time.
