📚✨ Literacy Week at QSI Guyana! ✨📚

Literacy Week here at QSI Guyana was a celebration of reading and creativity! The week kicked off on Monday with a scavenger hunt where students searched for alphabet sounds hidden around the school. On Tuesday, the fun continued with some lively games of letter bingo, helping students reinforce their letter recognition skills. Wednesday brought an enchanting "Under the Sea" storytelling circle, where students made their own tales and then embarked on a "treasure hunt." The week concluded with a deep dive into Eric Carle's book, The Very Hungry Caterpillar." Students transformed the story into a puppet show on Friday. It was a week filled with learning, laughter, and a love for literacy!

QSI Guyana's International Day lunch was a vibrant celebration of cultural diversity, featuring delicious dishes from the Dominican Republic, Belgium, Pakistan, Trinidad, the USA, St. Lucia, and, of course, Guyana! The event was a fantastic opportunity for everyone to experience a taste of different cultures and traditions. Thank you to everyone who participated and made this event a memorable success! 🌍🎉

🌟 Celebrating Guyana's Republic Day at Promenade Gardens! 🌟

We had a fantastic day with our students and teachers at Promenade Gardens to celebrate Guyana's upcoming Republic Day. 🇬🇾

We started with a relaxing picnic, enjoying good food and great company. 🍉🥪

We then played some fun games, from a scavenger hunt to duck-duck-goose. 🏃‍♂

The highlight was the showcase where students displayed their homemade masks and headpieces. The creativity and effort were truly impressive! 🎭✨We loved seeing their dance moves too.

🎉🎈 Celebrating 100 Days of School! 🎈🎉

Today, our school had an amazing time celebrating the 100th day of school with a variety of fun and educational activities! 🏫✨

👵👴 What Will I Look Like at 100 Years Old?: Our students had a blast imagining and drawing what they might look like when they turn 100 years old.

🍬 Counting to 100 with Candy: Our counting activity with candy was a sweet success! The students practiced their counting skills by grouping candies into sets of 10 to reach 100.

🍭 100 Gumballs: The kids painted 100 gumballs onto a paper gumball machine. The excitement was contagious as they carefully counted and painted each one, creating a colorful and fun display.

🌸 Valentine's Day Open House Success! 🌸

We had an amazing time at our Valentine's Day-themed open house! The kids had a blast making adorable Valentine's Day crafts and indulging in delicious cupcakes. 🍰🎨

After all the creative fun, they enjoyed some quality time in our wonderful outdoor space, soaking up the fresh air and sunshine. 🌞🌿

Day & Time: February 8th, 2025 1:00PM-3:00PM
Location: 266 Forshaw, Queenstown
Parents must attend with their children and provide supervision.
Advance sign-up is required to provide the necessary information to our security guard.
