We were happy to host the Honourable Minister of Labour and Manpower Planning Keoma Griffith at our State of the Art Training Facility in Lusignan, East Coast Demerara. Several Key initiatives were discussed to develop the local workforce to indusry standards. Stay tuned for more updates

Minister Keoma Griffith met with O.D.I.T.C., powered by 3T Enermech, to discuss expanding internationally accredited technical training in Guyana. The team explored programmes such as OPITO/T-BOSIET and other globally recognised certifications. This partnership supports President Dr Mohamed Ali’s vision of building a highly skilled and competitive national workforce. The Ministry remains committed to creating stronger training opportunities for all Guyanese.

Vacancy!!!! - Assistant Instructor/Diver

ODITC-3t EnerMech is currently looking to recruit an Assistant Instructor/Diver on a full-time employment contract located in Guyana.

The Role

To deliver ODITC Inc. approved suite of courses within the given technical subject areas in a consistent, professional way which reflects ODITC's business integrity and culture. Instructors will also assist with all practical and maintenance activities while always ensuring the safety and welfare of themselves and others.

Duties and Responsibilities:

To deliver courses as required in line with ODITC and accrediting body requirements
To support customers during course delivery as appropriate
To obtain positive customer feedback following course completion in line with KPIs
To participate in standardisation and continuing professional development events as required
To provide support to trainees and existing Instructor/Assessors as appropriate
To support department growth through technical input to new courses, training standards, customer meetings and the continual improvement of existing courses.
Demonstrate a personal commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment.
Contribute to a high standard of housekeeping and cleanliness throughout the entire establishment.
Handle all other duties as may be assigned by the Operations Manager and the General Manager from time to time.
Apply ODITC Inc. and, where appropriate Client’s HSE Policies and Procedures.
Ensure that all ODITC Inc. quality and operational procedures are always adhered to.
Maintain and embrace ownership of departmental policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Recognised SCUBA certification will be considered an asset
Lifesaving/lifeguard certification will be considered an asset
Proficiency in swimming will be considered an asset
Minimum Five (5) CSEC passes, inclusive of English & Mathematics.

Provide technical coaching / professional guidance and assist in the development of others.
Demonstrate a calm and systematic approach
Convey information fluently, interpreting and clarifying details and explaining rationale
Select and use the best method of communication to ensure understanding
Advise and guide others
Use a wide range and depth of technical or specialised knowledge, providing technical leadership and expert advice to others
Work to develop team spirit and cooperation
Provide meaningful feedback on a regular, ongoing basis
Demonstrate excellent organisational and time management skills
Have the ability to cope with competing demands and to prioritise tasks
Experience in lecturing or teaching will be considered an asset
Involvement in Health, Safety, and Environmental activities will be considered an asset
