Today our students were graced with the presence of a social worker (Andrea Hall), field officer (Omar Rupnaraine) and a youth officer (Sofia Budhai) from the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport through the President's Youth Award Republic of Guyana (PYARG).

Students were encouraged by the representatives to become active members of their community, participate in extracurricular activity and in due time will see that those very students become involved in either football, cricket, swimming and archery. We can't wait to see these activities come to life to further assist in producing well-rounded young people. We expect for confidence to be boosted, social skills to be developed and to provide a safe environment for our young people to grow and learn.

Our student-athletes welcomed sports liaison officers from The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport; current National player and Slingerz captain Curtez Kellman and also a senior national player who also is captain of the Guyana Defence Force Colin Nelson.

The pair emphasised heavily on the importance of balancing academics with sport and the importance of discipline. The mentorship session was invaluable. Students present in this mentorship were our footballers, both male and female, swimmers, track athletes, martial artists, hockey players and basketball players.

Today our institution observed World Su***de Prevention Day.
To honour the day, our students and staff were encouraged to wear yellow. Whether it be a shirt, sock, badge or ribbon.

These young men all had different challenges, varying paths and experiences but at the end of the day similar goals. To do well, make their families and support systems proud.
We at Chase's Academic Foundation recognise their achievements and feel immensely proud to know that they have excelled irrespective of the notion around sportsmen especially footballers!

Sport and education are often viewed as separate paths, but at Chase’s Academic Foundation, the two are deliberately brought together to help young people develop into well-rounded individuals.

Our boys are final bound!

Congratulations to the players who fought hard and relentlessly, to the coaching and auxiliary staff for their support and commitment to the preparation for this tournament.
