We at Chase's Academic Foundation are immensely proud to announce once more that we have seven student athletes who have made the final list and one currently selected as a reserve player for the Guyana National Junior U14 team set to participate in the 2026 CFU Challenge Series.

Thousands of Africans left the shores of present-day Ghana, Nigeria, Benin, Angola, Sierra Leone and many other West and Central African nations. Forced across the Atlantic, they laboured on the plantations of British Guiana, enduring unimaginable hardship while holding onto their strength, identity and hope.

Today, we honour their resilience, celebrate their resistance, and remember their unwavering determination. One hundred and eighty-eight years ago today, formerly enslaved people in British Guiana finally gained their freedom. May we never forget those who refused to let oppression define them and whose courage helped shape the Guyana we know today.

Congratulations to all those selected in the National U14 squad, who will soon be participating ln the 2026 Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Boys Challenge Series.

Special congratulations must be made to our student athletes: Fabio Kowlessar, Gilbert Frank, Aaron Vasconcellos, Daniel Chesney, Nash Moe, Teon Francis and Cavon Peters; some of which featured in the Massy U18 Tournament with us earlier in the year.

Let's rally as a nation behind our boys as they compete in the upcoming tournament.

In light of the tragic MV Barima incident, Chase’s Academic Foundation will observe a Day of Mourning as we remember those affected and stand in solidarity with their families and loved ones.

As a result, there will be no Summer Programme classes tomorrow.

We extend our heartfelt thoughts and prayers to everyone affected during this difficult time.

As another school term comes to an end, we would like to thank our students, parents, teachers, and staff for their dedication, hard work, and support throughout the term.
