Congratulations to this year's 2024 NCWIT awardees!

In collaboration with the National Center for Women and Information Technology (NCWIT), the University of Guam honored five local high school students with the NCWIT Aspirations in Computing Award. This award recognizes young women for their achievements and leadership in computing and technology.

Thank you to the parents, teachers, endorsers, and our sponsor GTA Teleguam, who were there to witness these young women's achievements.

Andria Leon Guerrero of Southern High School, Kaileia Schindler, Jaydie San Jose, Fiona Santos, and Liam Sarangay of Simon Sanchez High School were recognized on July 12, 2024, at a ceremony hosted by the UOG Office of Information Technology.

Special thanks to our President, Dr. Anita Borja Enriquez; Senior Vice President and Provost, Dr. Sharleen Santos-Bamba; and our keynote speakers, Marlena Pangelinan, Vice Provost for Institutional Effectiveness; Dr. Leslie Aquino, Associate Professor of Mathematics and Chair of the Division of Mathematics and Computer Science, College of Natural and Applied Sciences; and Frances Villaverde, Senior Programmer Analyst of the Office of Information Technology, for sharing their inspiring words with our awardees.
