Attention Parents/Guardians- GHS Booster Club is looking for a few good people to serve on the 2016/2017 Board. Currently open positions include- President, Vice President.
Other position requiring less time include- Marketing coordinator, Teacher appreciation coordinator, Teacher Potluck coordinator.

Dear Members,

As we approach the end of yet another school year, I would like to
personally thank the Parents and Guardians for their support of GHS Booster
Club. You may ask, "How did I support?" Here are just a few of the
contributions :
*Became a Booster Club member for the 2015-2016 SY
*Held a board position
*Donated food or gift cards
*Assisted with selling Tshirts or concessions
*Participated in the Awards Banquet
*Worked on Election or Audit committee

During the 2015-2016 SY the Booster Club provided the following financial
assistance for the school : $1500 Principal awards, $500 Teacher
Appreciation, $350 Student Appreciation, $1000 for Student activities.

It takes many volunteers to make a Great School and I firmly believe
we all want our children in a great school. To see this to fruition the
Booster Club needs people to step up and fill many open positions for next
school year. The following positions are available and approximate amount
of time each requires per month.
*President - 5-6 hours
*V.President - 3-4 hours
*Secretary - 2 -3 hours

Hey folks! There were only two parents who attended the PTEC focus group for Guam High today at NBG. If you have a high school student, I strongly encourage you attend tomorrow's forum at Andersen. Good schools are readiness and retention issues. This group is here is to meet with parents, teachers and school administrators to review our schools and make recommendations. If we don't provide the personal stories, all they have to go on is the numbers and test scores. Thank You!!!

Guam HS Booster Club is hosting our annual Teacher Appreciation luncheon. We need your help filling the slots to provide a wonderful day for the Teachers and Staff of Guam HS! This month the lunch itself will be catered, so we are instead asking for donations of desserts and gift cards that we can raffle off during the lunch.

Boosters parents, please consider supporting our school community by becoming more involved as a Boosters board member for the 2016-2017 school year. Most of this year's board will be unavailable (jobs, PCS moves, etc), so it's time for some new faces with new energy and ideas. :D

Position descriptions are in the post below, but you can always message us or comment if you'd like more information (or are ready to throw your hat in the ring)!

The 2016-2017 Boosters election will take place in May, and we are looking for volunteers! If you are interested in exploring the possibility of running for a board position, or would like to nominate someone, please comment or message us by May 1. The board positions are as follows:

President-
Chairs monthly meetings
Acts as liaison between club and school

Vice President-
Oversees fundraising for club
Acts on President's behalf as needed
Attends monthly meeting

Secretary-
Prepares agenda
Records meeting activity
Emails membership as needed
Maintains current membership records
Attends monthly meeting

Treasurer-
Maintains all Club records
Deposits membership dues and other funds
Processes payments for all approved Booster expenses
Prepares a monthly updated budget
Audits financial records annually
Attends monthly meeting

Tonight from 6-8 pm! Guam High will be presenting a forum with a panel discussion including local FBI, NCIS, Guam's Deputy Attorney General, and other experts on the topics of cyberbullying and sexting. Please plan to attend this important presentation.
