🧠 “I understand English… but why is speaking so hard?” 🗣️
If this happens to you, you’re not doing anything wrong.
It’s a completely normal part of learning a language.
Think about it this way:
👂 LISTENING + READING = INPUT
You receive English, recognize words, understand the context and connect ideas.
🗣️ SPEAKING + WRITING = OUTPUT
Now your brain has to produce the language: find the words, build the sentence, choose the grammar and get the message out.
That’s why you can understand:
“What are you planning to do this weekend?”
…but when someone asks you that in real life, suddenly your brain goes:
😶 “Ummm… I… well… I…” 😂
That’s normal.
Understanding English and producing English are different skills.
🚀 So, how do you improve your output?
🗣️ 1. Talk to yourself in English.
Describe what you're doing:
“I’m making coffee.”
“I need to get ready.”
“I’m going to work.”
No audience. No pressure. Just practice.
📱 2. Comment in English.
Follow TikTok, Instagram or YouTube accounts about things you actually enjoy: sports, movies, music, travel, gaming… whatever interests you.
Instead of only watching, leave a comment in English.
Even a simple:
“That was amazing!”
“I totally agree!”
“What a great movie!”
is practice.
✍️ 3. Write a little every day.
A short comment, a message, a caption or a few sentences about your day.
You don't need to write an essay.
Remember:
Input helps you understand.
Output helps you communicate.
And the more you speak + write, the easier it becomes to retrieve the English you already know.
💜 Don’t wait until your English is perfect to start using it.
Use it. Make mistakes. Keep going.
That’s how fluency grows.
