🧠 “I understand English… but why is speaking so hard?” 🗣️

If this happens to you, you’re not doing anything wrong.
It’s a completely normal part of learning a language.

Think about it this way:

👂 LISTENING + READING = INPUT
You receive English, recognize words, understand the context and connect ideas.

🗣️ SPEAKING + WRITING = OUTPUT
Now your brain has to produce the language: find the words, build the sentence, choose the grammar and get the message out.

That’s why you can understand:

“What are you planning to do this weekend?”

…but when someone asks you that in real life, suddenly your brain goes:

😶 “Ummm… I… well… I…” 😂

That’s normal.

Understanding English and producing English are different skills.

🚀 So, how do you improve your output?

🗣️ 1. Talk to yourself in English.
Describe what you're doing:

“I’m making coffee.”
“I need to get ready.”
“I’m going to work.”

No audience. No pressure. Just practice.

📱 2. Comment in English.
Follow TikTok, Instagram or YouTube accounts about things you actually enjoy: sports, movies, music, travel, gaming… whatever interests you.

Instead of only watching, leave a comment in English.

Even a simple:

“That was amazing!”
“I totally agree!”
“What a great movie!”

is practice.

✍️ 3. Write a little every day.
A short comment, a message, a caption or a few sentences about your day.

You don't need to write an essay.

Remember:

Input helps you understand.
Output helps you communicate.

And the more you speak + write, the easier it becomes to retrieve the English you already know.

💜 Don’t wait until your English is perfect to start using it.

Use it. Make mistakes. Keep going.

That’s how fluency grows.

👇 Your turn!

Write one sentence in English about what you're doing right now.

“Right now, I’m…”

Complete it in the comments! 👇

🎬 WEEKEND PLANS + WHAT TO WEAR? 👟

¿Ya tienes planes para este fin de semana? 😎
Let’s use one of the most useful everyday verbs in English: TO PLAN.

💡 TO PLAN = planear / planificar

You can say:

🗓️ Plan a weekend
→ Planear un fin de semana.

🎬 Plan a movie night
→ Planear una noche de cine.

👫 Plan something with friends
→ Planear algo con amigos.

✈️ Plan a trip
→ Planear un viaje.

And here's a very natural question:

💬 What are you planning for the weekend?

You can answer:

“We’re planning to go to the movies.” 🍿

But wait… there’s another important question:

👗 WHAT TO WEAR?

If you're going somewhere casual, these words are useful:

👕 T-shirt — camiseta
👖 Jeans — jeans
👟 Sneakers — tenis / zapatillas
🧥 Casual jacket — chaqueta casual
✨ Casual outfit — conjunto casual
🔥 Oversized T-shirt — camiseta oversize

And one expression you'll hear all the time:

“Let’s keep it casual.” 😎
= Vamos casual / mantengamos un estilo casual.

🎯 Mini challenge:

Complete this sentence:

“This weekend, I’m planning to…”

Go to the movies? 🍿
Hang out with friends? 👫
Stay home? 🛋️
Go somewhere new? 🌎

💬 How do you disagree without sounding rude?

En inglés, no siempre es buena idea decir "You're wrong." 🙈

Native speakers usually soften their opinions with polite expressions that keep the conversation friendly and respectful.

✨ Today's English Tip

✅ I totally agree.
→ Estoy totalmente de acuerdo.

✅ That's a good point.
→ Buen punto.

💬 I see what you mean, but...
→ Entiendo lo que quieres decir, pero...

💬 I'm not sure I agree.
→ No estoy seguro de estar de acuerdo.

These expressions are extremely common in meetings, classrooms, job interviews, everyday conversations, and friendly debates.

👩 I think the Yankees are better.

👨 I see what you mean, but I prefer the Dodgers.
