GENERAL INFORMATION
With our programs the students have the opportunity to expand their
general or specific vocabulary, and their private teachers help them to
develop their writing and listening comprehension also their oral and
writing expression through the diversity of activities during the Spanish
class. Also we offer the use of different materials that the school
provides the students for
their course and homework. Each student is evaluated for his or her knowledge of the Spanish language
and assigned an appropriate level of study. OUR DIFFERENT PROGRAMS:
Standard Program: This program is used by the school and the teachers when
the student does not have any special requests for program content. It
includes the notebooks that each student receives in their daily classes. Intensive Spanish Program: This program consists of 30 or 35 class hours
per week and with this program the student presents a need to learn as
much of the language as possible, or because it is needed for school or
work-related purposes. The student will receive the notebooks, as in the
standard program for use during the class and will additionally receive
workbooks which are used for the homework. Specific Programs: These programs are designed not only for the student to
learn Spanish, but also for those who need to use the language in a
specific setting such as volunteer placement or special activity. Still,
the student will study grammar, but the vocabulary, the verbs, the
exercises and the lectures are related to the specific interests/needs of
the student and their activities. That means that all the activities that
are carried out in the class, keep the student in constant with the ir
professional activities and specific vocabulary learned according to
profession. With these programs the students do not only receive a vocabulary list to
memorize and to learn on their own, they truly do a major part of their
learning in the class. The teacher will have done all the correct
planning, research and investigation needed to carry out the class in a
concrete and structured manner. Further the school has elaborated
workbooks for each specific program. Within each class the teacher will explain the different grammatical
concepts and with the student, will carry out different exercises and
conversational topics according to the focused topic of the program. Spanish Plus Volunteering: We also can arrange volunteer work for our
students. The students have the opportunity of combine Spanish classes and
Volunteer work. If you want to be a part of a social project, we can find
you any kind, depending on your interests and needs. The majority of all
volunteer projects in Guatemala are social projects, schools, orphanages,
childcare, clinics and hospitals.

-Student Library: easy access to study material, dictionaries and other
reference material, plus leisure reading.
-Supervising homework. The school offer different activities during the week, like salsa dance
class, visits to macadamia and coffee plantations, museums, ruins and
others, the students will have to pay for some of them. Airport pick up transportation available, we can pick you up in the
airport and take you directly to your home stay, $35 one person, one way. Students can pay with USA dollars, travel checks or quetzales obtained in
the local banks with your credit card (usually visa or master card), also
there are enough ATM's in the city. About laundry and internet service: You can check your e-mail for free in the school and there are a lot of internet cafes in the city. The school
is located four blocks from the central park in very quit area and there
is laundry close to the school.
