Looking Ahead!
As summer comes to an end, the ASC4INN consortium is ready to enter a new phase of the project.

In the coming months, partners will continue developing the ASC4INN Serious Game, while also working on theproject's ECVET profile and future micro-credentials to support the recognition and transferability of learners' achievements across Europe.

🎓 What are micro-credentials, and why do they matter for the future of agri-food skills?

Micro-credentials are short, focused learning certifications that recognise specific skills or competences. Instead of certifying an entire long training programme, they can validate smaller learning achievements that are easier to access, combine and reuse.

In these months, partners are discussing how micro-credentials can support the project’s future training offer, making it more flexible, recognisable and aligned with real learning outcomes.

Within ASC4INN, micro-credentials will help learners and professionals build their skills step by step:
➡️ from Basic to Advanced learning pathways
🔄 by combining different competences into cross-functional profiles
🌉 by creating bridges between VET and Higher Education

The goal is to support a more flexible and skills-oriented education system, helping learners acquire the competences needed to manage the digital and sustainable transformation of agricultural supply chains.

Because future-ready skills should be clear, recognised and accessible.

Behind the scenes: Building the ASC4INN Curriculum

Work continues across the ASC4INN consortium as partners are finalizing the Higher Education Curriculum, one of the project's key results.
The current focus is on completing the Basic and Advanced learning programmes, which will provide future learners with practical skills to support the digital transformation of agricultural supply chains. These curricula will also lay the foundation for the project's ECVET profile and future micro-credentials.

Every step brings us closer to delivering innovative, high-quality learning opportunities for Higher Education and VET across Europe.

🚀 From project vision to practical learning pathways

ASC4INN is moving forward with the development of its future training offer for digital Agricultural Supply Chains.

Partners are working on a practical workflow to connect curriculum design with the next implementation steps: learning materials, Moodle resources, AR-based scenarios, Serious Game cards and pilot preparation.

The project is structured around 8 Basic and Advanced course units, covering four key thematic areas:

💼 Investment and Risk Management in New Technologies
🤖 Robotics and Drones
🌐 Agricultural Traceability based on IoT and Blockchain
📊 Big Data and Advanced Analytics

This workflow will help ensure coherence between Higher Education and VET/HVET pathways, while also supporting future work on micro-credentials and practical training resources.

Because developing future-ready skills means turning innovative ideas into clear, usable and transferable learning experiences.

The ASC4INN project at ROBOTEX Cyprus!

Emphasys Centre proudly participated in the ROBOTEX event, where we had the opportunity to present the ASC4INN project to participants, educators, students, and key stakeholders 🤖✨

Throughout the event, we engaged with the robotics and innovation community, sharing the objectives and expected impact of ASC4INN, while also exchanging ideas on how technology and education can better support skills development and innovation across Europe 🚀

It was a valuable experience to showcase our work, discuss future opportunities for collaboration, and connect with inspiring individuals and organisations who are shaping the future of robotics and STEM education 🤝🌍

On 17 and 18 June 2026, the 2nd transnational meeting of the ASC4INN project took place in Milan, hosted by DLEARN – European Digital Learning Network.

Two intense working days during which the consortium reviewed the project’s progress and defined the next steps for the development of training pathways dedicated to the digitalisation of agricultural supply chains.

During the meeting, we discussed:
🌱 the results of the skills needs analysis in the agricultural and agri-food sector;
🎓 the development of Higher Education and VET curricula, with a focus on alignment with EQF levels;
📌 the common guidelines for course and learning material design;
💼 the contents of the modules on investment & risk management, robotics & drones, IoT and blockchain for agricultural traceability, big data and advanced analytics;
🏅 the future framework for micro-credentials and micro-pathways, designed to support flexible and recognisable learning pathways;
💻 the Moodle-based digital platform that will host the training activities;
🎮 the ASC4INN Serious Game, which will support learning through interactive environments, questions, personalised feedback and links to learning materials;
🤝 the stakeholder engagement strategy and the preparation of future pilot activities;
📣 dissemination, impact and exploitation actions, which are essential to ensure the visibility and sustainability of the project results.

The ASC4INN project will now continue with a shared roadmap: finalising the curricula, developing training materials, designing the digital platform, defining the Serious Game and preparing the pilot activities.

A big thank you to all partners for their valuable exchange, contribution and shared commitment towards a more innovative, digital and skills-oriented agriculture.

📌 Work in progress on WP2!
The partnership is currently advancing the work of WP2, with a strong focus on the development of the Guidelines for Curricula & Courses Development 🚀📚
Over the past weeks, partners have been working together to define the common structure and methodology that will guide the next phases of curriculum design across the project.
The guidelines introduce:

🧩 a shared curriculum architecture
🎯 competence-based learning approaches
📖 common course/module templates
⚖️ differentiation between HE and VET learning pathways
🛠️ assessment and evaluation principles
💻 integration of digital learning environments and immersive tools
🏅 foundations for future micro-credentials and recognition pathways

A key element of this work has been creating a framework that is:
✔️ flexible
✔️ modular
✔️ practice-oriented
✔️ aligned with European competence frameworks and labour market needs 🌍

💡 The document also sets the basis for the development of learning materials, serious game activities, AR-based training scenarios, innovative learning experiences for Agriculture 4.0

🔜 Next steps: moving from the framework phase to the actual development of courses, learning resources and pilot activities across the ASC4INN ecosystem.

In February 2025, the European Commission published A Vision for Agriculture and Food, setting out a roadmap for a more competitive, resilient and future-oriented European agri-food system.

At the heart of this vision is the Twin Transition: green and digital.

The infographic highlights 4 key priorities shaping the future of the sector:

1️⃣ Attracting the next generation - Making agricultural careers more high-tech, meaningful and attractive for young people.

2️⃣ Building a digital-ready ecosystem - Deploying technologies such as IoT, blockchain, robotics and drones to support smarter and more precise farming.

3️⃣ Strengthening research and innovation - Promoting solutions linked to circular economy, biotechnology and climate resilience.

4️⃣ Driving the agri-food skills revolution - Today, 25% of job advertisements already require digital skills to manage high-tech supply chains.

This is where ASC4INN comes in.

Through ASC4INN, we bring innovation into classrooms and businesses by focusing on disruptive technologies. Because building a modern, competitive and sustainable agri-food sector also means investing in the people who will lead its transformation.

On May 22, 2026, Atlantis participated in the 13th Technology Forum in Thessaloniki, a major meeting point for innovation, entrepreneurship, research, and technology transfer. This year’s forum focused on accelerating the journey “From Lab to Market,” bringing together stakeholders from industry, academia, startups, and the wider innovation ecosystem to exchange ideas and foster impactful collaborations.

During the event, Atlantis disseminated the ASC4INN project — Alliance for Fostering Innovation in Education and Enterprises through Digitization of Agriculture Supply Chains — and engaged with a wide range of professionals from the industrial sector, market organizations, and universities. The discussions highlighted the increasing demand for digital transformation and advanced skills development in the agri-food sector, with many participants expressing strong interest in the project’s expected outcomes and innovative training approach.

The Technology Forum provided an ideal environment to showcase how ASC4INN contributes to bridging the gap between education, research, and market needs. By focusing on cutting-edge technologies such as Robotics & Drones, IoT & Blockchain, Big Data & Analytics, and Investment Risk Management, the project aims to equip future professionals with the digital competences required for more sustainable, resilient, and data-driven agricultural supply chains.

Atlantis was particularly encouraged by the strong interest from both academic and industry stakeholders regarding ASC4INN’s innovative methodologies, including game-based learning, augmented reality training, micro-credentials, and practical digital learning tools designed to support upskilling and reskilling across Europe.

We would like to thank all participants for the inspiring discussions and valuable networking opportunities that continue to strengthen collaboration between innovation, education, and industry.
