P.S. It was actually my first time making fanouropita… so, Saint Fanourios, maybe it’s time to faneróseis (reveal) something good in my life now? 🥹😂

P.S. 2: Fanouropita is a traditional Greek cake made in honour of Saint Fanourios (Άγιος Φανούριος), whose name is connected to the verb φανερώνω — “to reveal / make something appear.”

And although we traditionally make it around his feast day, August 27, you can make fanouropita throughout the year as an offering or prayer when you’re hoping for something lost, hidden, or wished for to be “revealed.” 💙
