So happy to say goodbye....

APRIL FOOLS! Study abroad has taught me a lot independence, adaptability, and how to deal with a Ryanair flight. I love the people and the experiences I had and I'm really sad to say goodbye, but it's not goodbye. It's just a new chapter

To conclude my Instagram takeover here is a little Greece scrapbook 🇬🇷🧿🌯☕️💙

Future advice: GO STUDY-ABROAD! You will never be this age again, I think everyone should travel the world somewhere if they can and explore life to its fullest!

Key takeaways: Greece is a very beautiful country with a lot of sights, people, and food to see and explore! I wish to expand my travels and do as much as possible in the three months I am here, Europe is so big and has a lot to offer!

Tips: 1. Find out what countries your school offer for study abroad 2. APPLY 3. Save money and budget for your trip 4. Explore and meet new people 5. Have the best semester ever!

Hello everyone!! Here is a look into my weekend. Study abroad has not only allowed me to study in Greece, but also I have been able to travel in Europe. First, a night in Malta, Italy then the rest of the weekend in Krakow, Poland! Thank you for following along with me this week!! -Avery

Hi everyone, it’s Avery! Now that I’ve been on campus for a week, I thought I would share a few cultural differences I’ve noticed compared to my home institution, Iowa State.

- Class times take some getting used to, with fewer classes but longer durations
- The food is obviously different, and I now eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner a bit later than I’m used to
- At the beginning of class, it is common courtesy for each student to greet their professor

So far, this has been a wonderful experience full of learning and growth! If you are considering studying abroad, do it! 🌍✨

students got to experience multiple Greek traditions their first day in Greece! Arriving at their Greek cooking lesson, they learned the meaning of : the tradition that says the first person to enter the home in the new year brings good luck. They also got to eat vasilopita – a Greek New Year’s cake with a gold coin hidden in it. The recipient of the piece with the gold coin has luck for the whole year according to the tradition. Good luck to Britta Gaetjens who won the coin!!!

Καλά Χριστούγεννα!!! Our Fall students made Greek holiday cards in Greek language class. A fun way to celebrate the season and connect with the language.
