Philosophisches Symposium mit Musik und Wein im Garten der Musen 🎼

In Anlehnung an das antike griechische Symposium verbinden wir Musik, Philosophie und geselliges Beisammensein. Ausgangspunkt der Veranstaltungsreihe ist das philosophische Seminar mit dem klassischen Philologen Roland Jurgeleit zum Thema „Ziel von Politik“ (Maximierung des sozialen Produktes oder des Volkes Glück? – eine Frage, der sich Andreas Drekis schon als Student an der Universität Bern stellte). In entspannter Atmosphäre laden wir dazu ein, gemeinsam über politische und gesellschaftliche Fragen nachzudenken und ins Gespräch zu kommen.
Jeder Abend wird von einem besonderen Konzert begleitet:
• 22.08., 20:00 Uhr: Lara Viganò (Oboe)
• 23.08., 21:00 Uhr: Arienabend mit Ellen Kaufmann (Klavier) und Xenia Galanova (Sopran)
• 30.08., 21:00 Uhr: Jannis Karamanos (Gesang & Gitarre)
Vor, bzw. nach den Konzerten sind alle Gäste herzlich eingeladen, die philosophischen Gespräche bei einem Glas Wein zu führen.
Die Diskussionen finden mehrsprachig auf Deutsch, Englisch, Altgriechisch und Neugriechisch statt. Schicken Sie uns gerne ein paar Diskussionsfragen oder Denkanstöße zum Thema an [email protected]! ☀️

Inspired by the ancient Greek symposium, we combine music, philosophy, and socializing. The starting point for this series of events is a philosophy seminar led by classical philologist Roland Jurgeleitn on the topic “The Goal of Politics.” (Maximizing social product or the people's happiness? – a question Andreas Drekis asked himself already as a student at the University of Bern). In a relaxed atmosphere, we invite you to reflect together on political and social issues and engage in conversation.
Each evening will be accompanied by a special concert:
• August 22, 8:00 p.m: Lara Viganò (oboe)
• August 23, 9:00 p.m: An evening of arias with Ellen Kaufmann (piano) and Xenia Galanova (soprano)
• August 30, 9:00 p.m: Jannis Karamanos (vocals & guitar)
Before or after the concerts, all guests are cordially invited to join in philosophical discussions over a glass of wine. The discussions will take place in multiple languages: German, English, Ancient Greek, and Modern Greek.
