Κάθε χρόνο την ημέρα της Πεντηκοστής, στη Σίφνο πραγματοποιείται ένα από τα πιο σημαντικά πολιτιστικά δρώμενα του νησιού:

Το δρώμενο: Εθελοντές, ντόπιοι και επισκέπτες συγκεντρώνονται σε διάσπαρτους πύργους και ακροπόλεις του νησιού.

Το αποτέλεσμα: Ανάβουν φωτιές και ανταλλάσσουν φωτεινά σήματα (αναβιώνοντας το αρχαίο δίκτυο), ενώ η δράση συχνά επεκτείνεται και σε γειτονικά κυκλαδίτικα νησιά δημιουργώντας ένα φαντασμαγορικό θέαμα!
