The use of virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) for environmental education is controversial. Some are concerned that these technologies might replace or disrupt outdoor experiences that can connect students to nature and develop pro-environmental behaviours.

However, learning through technology and being outdoors aren’t mutually exclusive. When VR and AR are used effectively, they can support and enhance environmental education while contributing to students’ positive well-being.

Using VR and AR for outdoor education can boost knowledge, access, and well-being.

Thousands of runners, cyclists and sailors are joining together for an epic, record breaking 7,767 km non-stop relay from Scotland to Egypt and help deliver a message on climate action to the world’s leaders at COP27!

There are 732 individual stages of the relay and up to 25 people can join a stage. Check out our relay route from Glasgow to Sharm el-Sheikh and see if we come near to where you live.

On 1.07.2022, at the University of Pitesti, the workshop "ECO Days for Future" was held, during the activity were presented the activities of GRETA project, to the teachers and invited stakeholders.
They were encouraged to use the project's products for free: the compendium with 42 WebQuests on climate change and 12 resources for parents, which will help them educate their children in the spirit of combating climate change.

The project was concluded with an interesting and participatory conference where we talked about climate change and how we can approach this theme at school, making the activities more engaging.
