A new chapter begins at the University of Patras School of Medicine 🎓

On Tuesday, September 29, 2026, the Medical Degree English Program officially welcomes its first-ever cohort!

Fifty students from 11 countries (Cyprus, Turkey, France, the United Kingdom, the USA, Canada, Australia, Uganda, Cameroon, India and China) will begin their medical studies in Patras. The first days start with Orientation, where students will get to know the School, the campus, their professors and each other. Lectures follow, and with them the journey toward becoming a doctor.

This is the University of Patras's first English-language undergraduate program. It is the result of a lot of work by many people across the School and the University, and we are proud to see it come to life.

To our new students: welcome to Patras, welcome to Greece, and welcome to our medical community. We look forward to meeting you on Tuesday! 💙
