The CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) and the CertTESOL (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) are two of the most widely recognised initial teacher training qualifications for teaching English as a foreign language. They are broadly similar in level and content but differ in some important aspects.
Both CELTA and CertTESOL are Level 5 TEFL qualifications, equally valid for visa and employment purposes in most countries. Your choice may come down to personal preference, availability, pricing, delivery format, or career focus.
