📣 Successful Completion of the Cloud-InSPiRe Project Final Dissemination Event
💡 On Monday, July 14, 2025, the final dissemination event of the research project Cloud-InSPiRe – An Integrated Socio-technical approach for Self-Adaptive Privacy Requirements Identification within Cloud Computing Environments was successfully held at the premises of the Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation (H.F.R.I.) in Athens.
🎙️ The event opened with a welcome address by Dr. Katerina Kouravelou, Director of H.F.R.I., who emphasized the importance of investing in scientific research that promotes innovation and social benefit. This was followed by remarks from Assoc. Prof. Stylianos Xanthopoulos, Vice Rector of Administrative and Academic Affairs at the University of the Aegean, who highlighted the strategic value of Cloud-InSPiRe as an interdisciplinary initiative that bridges technology and social science to address privacy management challenges.
📚 The project’s findings were presented by members of the research team through the following sessions:
• Project Structure, Development & Results – Prof. Christos Kalloniatis
• Adaptive Privacy Protection in Cloud Computing: State of the Art & Societal Demands – Maria Sideri
• Technical Foundations: Requirements, Design, and Evaluation – Michail Pantelelis
• Cloud-InSPiRe Beta Tool Presentation – Panos Mazarakis
• Dissemination & Impact Strategy – Katerina Mavroeidi
👥 The event welcomed participants from the academic community, industry, and H.F.R.I., who engaged in a productive discussion regarding the project’s outputs and future potential of the Cloud-InSPiRe tool, showcasing its relevance for managing privacy in modern digital environments.
🏆 Cloud-InSPiRe ranked 1st in the final evaluation of H.F.R.I.’s 2nd Research Call, receiving a score of 97.8/100, out of 357 submitted proposals nationwide.
📣 In closing, the project’s Scientific Director, Professor Christos Kalloniatis, expressed sincere thanks to the attendees, the research team, and H.F.R.I. for their vital support, funding, and hosting of the event.
