It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces returning today and to welcome our newest students as they begin their St. Cats journey. We are so happy to have you all here!

A new academic year means new experiences, new friendships, and so many new memories waiting to be made together.

Yesterday was a very special day for our community as we welcomed our new students and their families to St. Catherineโ€™s ahead of the start of the new school year!

Across EYFS, Lower School and Upper School, our new families had the opportunity to meet their teachers, explore classrooms, tour the school and discover more about life at St. Catherineโ€™s.

Most importantly, it was a chance to meet, connect and begin feeling part of the St. Catherineโ€™s community. ๐Ÿ’™

This summer, our Head of Futures, Mrs Rebecca Demetriades, joined the Great Outdoors Admission Tour, visiting five leading US institutions: Dartmouth College, Middlebury College, the University of Vermont, Bates College and Bowdoin College. ๐ŸŽ“

Each campus offered a different perspective on what higher education can look like today โ€” from the liberal arts and undergraduate research to career design, access and the evolving role of AI in education.

But across five very different institutions, one message stood out:

Congratulations to our students on another year of exceptional academic achievements, once again placing St Catherineโ€™s well ahead of national benchmarks in the UK, including top-tier grades (9โ€“7) achieved at nearly three times the UK national average.

โœ” 60% of subject entries achieved top grades in the 9โ€“7 band
โœ”19% of all grades awarded were the maximum Grade 9
โœ”95% of all subject entries were in the passing 9โ€“4 band

These impressive figures reflect the passion, resilience, and intellectual curiosity of our students across all year groups, supported by the unwavering commitment of our teachers and school community.

We are immensely proud of our students and look forward to seeing all they will accomplish as they take their next steps in Upper School and beyond! ๐Ÿš€๐ŸŒŸ

After counting down some of your favourite moments from the past academic year, weโ€™ve reached the top, and what better way to finish than with a night that marked both an ending and a beginning.

Our most-loved post takes us back to an unforgettable Graduation Ceremony filled with pride, laughter, heartfelt words and celebration as our Year 13 students closed one chapter of their St Cats story and prepared for the adventures ahead.

Taking the bronze spot at No. 3 is an achievement worth celebrating all over again!

Year 9 student Ariadni V. received a Certificate of Merit from the University of Southampton for her outstanding performance in the Senior Maths Challenge 2026. Among more than 1,000 pupils taking part, St. Catherineโ€™s was the only school outside the UK to receive an award. ๐Ÿ‘

An incredible accomplishment and one that clearly made an impression on our community too!
