📢 NATO CIMIC Field Workers Course | 12–23 October 2026
If you’re involved in Civil–Military Cooperation, or planning to be, this is the course you don’t want to miss.
From 12–23 October 2026, MPSOTC will host the NATO CIMIC Field Workers Course, bringing together professionals from across the Alliance for hands on training, real world scenarios, and expert instruction.
The purpose of the course is to equip participants with tactical level CIMIC skills, grounded in NATO doctrine, policy, and manuals. This training prepares both military and civilian personnel to operate effectively in today’s complex operational environments.

The Hellenic Multinational Peace Support Operations Training Centre (MPSOTC) has received renewed recognition from the United Nations for its United Nations Military Observers Course (UNMO).
The course conforms to the relevant United Nations Peacekeeping Pre-Deployment Training Standards.
The recognition is valid from 25 July 2026 to 25 July 2030.

The Hellenic MPSOTC, within the framework of its ongoing and successful collaboration with Meducation, announces the organization of the 8th “HEAT - Hostile Environment Awareness Training School”, which will take place from 09 to 13 November 2026 and emanate from Europe’s New Training Initiative for Civilian Crisis Management (EU ENTRi).
The aim of this educational initiative is to strengthen and further develop participants’ capacity to identify and assess potential threats (both linear and non-linear) in hostile environments where they may be required to undertake operational missions. The systematic cultivation of such situational awareness constitutes a decisive factor in enhancing their operational readiness and, consequently, improving their survivability.

From 22 to 23 June 2026, the Hellenic Multinational Peace Support Operations Training Center (MPSOTC), in accordance with the Annual Report of the Education, Training and Exercises Sub-Working Group (ETESWG) of the 18th Balkan Countries’ Chiefs of Defense/General Staff (CHODs), successfully conducted a specialized workshop on Peace Support Operations, dedicated exclusively to Balkan countries.
A total of seven participants, officers from the Armed Forces of seven different nations, took part in this activity.
The aim of the workshop was to enhance participants’ skills, with particular emphasis on Peace Support Operations.
This activity underscores the continued cooperation and strong ties among Balkan countries in promoting peace, stability, and international security.

From 01 to 12 June 2026 MPSOTC conducted the “Sea - Land Borders Security & Refugees/Arms/Dual-Use Goods Control Course”.
During the course, 20 participants from 3 countries had the opportunity to hone their skills on various border security topics at the the tactical level, adding value to their professional backgrounds.
Their training encompassed all aspects of Border Security and Management Issues, including an analysis of the new threat agenda and the modern challenges at the Border Security Domain. Additionally, the curriculum included Human Behavioral Analysis for the detection of potential non - linear threats, FRONTEX perspectives concerning Border Management, and other relative topics or security issues.
Finally, the class visited the Customs office at the Greek northern borders (in Evzonoi), the “MAKEDONIA” International Airport and the Thessaloniki Port Coast Guard Hub, having the opportunity to observe in practice all the topics covered during the course.

From 11 to 29 May 2026, MPSOTC successfully conducted the “United Nations Military Observers Course”, bringing together 23 participants from 8 countries.
The aforementioned course, certified by the United Nations and Approved by NATO, provided comprehensive training designed to prepare participants for the effective ex*****on of duties within UN Peacekeeping Operations. Through a holistic approach to Peace Operations, attendees developed essential knowledge and skills across a wide range of operational areas.
The curriculum included key modules on mediation and negotiation, liaison and coordination functions, ground and aerial surveillance patrols, the establishment and operation of observation posts, as well as investigation and verification procedures.
MPSOTC remains dedicated to delivering high-quality, internationally recognized training that strengthens the capabilities of military personnel and contributes to the effectiveness of Peace Operations worldwide.

From April 27th to May 8th 2026, the Hellenic Multinational Peace Support Operations Training Center (MPSOTC) successfully conducted the 2026 iteration of the NATO PSOs Basic Course, welcoming 18 participants from 4 countries.

This comprehensive course is specifically designed to actively train and prepare Officers, Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs), law enforcement personnel, and civilians. Through a series of expertly delivered lectures and hands-on exercises, participants sharpened their soft skills, gained cutting-edge knowledge aligned with NATO and UN standards, and developed a profound understanding of complex operating environments. These efforts aimed to ensure participants are proficiently equipped for deployment in NATO-led and international Peace Support Operations.

As one of MPSOTC’s esteemed “NATO Approved” Courses, the 2026 iteration was led by experienced instructors from MPSOTC, BiH PSOTC, FINCENT and the Serbian CBRN CENTRE.

Our dedicated international team, comprising academics, army officers, police personnel, combat medics, and Subject Matter Experts, delivered a thorough and impactful learning experience. The curriculum emphasized critical soft skills such as negotiation, mediation, effective communication, and media awareness. Participants also had the opportunity to bridge theory with practice during a three-day Field Training Exercise (FTX), which covered essential operational techniques such as checkpoint management, observation post operations, and patrolling.

The Hellenic MPSOTC, within the framework of its ongoing and successful collaboration with Meducation – International Medical and Training Institute, announces the organization of the 7th “HEAT - Hostile Environment Awareness Training School”, which will take place from 15 to 19 June 2026 and emanate from Europe’s New Training Initiative for Civilian Crisis Management (EU ENTRi).
The aim of this educational initiative is to strengthen and further develop participants’ capacity to identify and assess potential threats (both linear and non-linear) in hostile environments where they may be required to undertake operational missions. From March 23 to 27, 2026, the Hellenic MPSOTC in collaboration with the international medical & training institute Meducation conducted the HEAT - Hostile Environment Awareness Training course and emanate from Europe’s New Training Initiative for Civilian Crisis Management (EU ENTRi).
The Course aimed to strengthen participants’ capabilities in effectively managing risks (nonlinear threats) and surviving in hostile environments, through a combination of theoretical training and practical exercises in realistic scenarios. High-tech simulators and equipment were used to provide a comprehensive training experience.
The training covered a wide range of critical topics, including: emergency car scenario simulators, medical skills and first aid techniques, hostage survival and negotiation strategies, fundamentals of field communication and navigation, mobile security and checkpoint tactics, familiarization with weaponry and explosive devices.
