🇪🇺𝐔𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐚𝐧 𝐄𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐦𝐮𝐬+ 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐜𝐞 🇬🇷💙
For a group of 16 students and 3 accompanying teachers from the Inspectoratul Școlar Județean ILFOV, the Erasmus+ mobility in Greece became a wonderful story of learning, friendship, cultural discovery, and unforgettable experiences. 🌍🤝
From the very beginning, the participants were welcomed with warmth and enthusiasm, setting the tone for an incredible adventure. One of the most joyful highlights was the Erasmus+ Welcome Party 🎉, where traditional Greek dancers captivated everyone with their energy and passion. Students and teachers joined the dances, shared smiles, and immediately felt the spirit of Greek hospitality and intercultural friendship. 💃🕺❤️
Among the most breathtaking experiences was the visit to Meteora 🏞️⛪, a place that seemed straight out of a fairy tale. Surrounded by spectacular rock formations and ancient monasteries suspended between earth and sky, the participants were amazed by the beauty and serenity of this unique UNESCO heritage site. The journey continued in Kalambaka, where an icon-painting workshop revealed the secrets of Byzantine art and tradition 🎨✨. Watching skilled artisans create icons by hand offered a deeper understanding of Greece’s rich cultural and spiritual heritage.
The second day brought new opportunities for learning and exploration at Platon Private School in Katerini 📚🏫. Students met their Greek peers, exchanged ideas, and discovered similarities and differences between educational systems. These interactions encouraged dialogue, curiosity, and new friendships that crossed national borders 🌍🤝.
Later, the group explored the vibrant city of Thessaloniki 🌆. A visit to the magnificent Church of Saint Demetrius ⛪ provided insight into the city's history and religious traditions, while a city tour revealed the charm of one of Greece’s most fascinating urban centers. The day ended with a magical mini-cruise on the waters of the Aegean Sea 🚢🌊. As the sun reflected on the waves and the coastline unfolded in the distance, participants enjoyed moments of wonder that will remain in their memories for years to come.
The following days combined education, culture, and creativity. At Platon School, the group toured the campus and learned about the Greek private education system. Engaging workshops on nutrition 🥗 and poetry 📖 encouraged students to think creatively, collaborate, and discover new perspectives.
Another memorable adventure took them to the beautiful region of Litochoro, at the foot of the legendary Mount Olympus ⛰️⚡. There, they visited the famous Bath of Zeus, a place connected to Greek mythology and surrounded by stunning natural scenery. The journey continued to the Monastery of Saint Dionysius 🏛️🙏, where history, spirituality, and nature blended harmoniously, creating a truly inspiring experience.
Sports activities, cultural exchanges, and traditional dance workshops throughout the mobility strengthened teamwork, confidence, and communication skills 🏃♂️🤝💙. Every activity encouraged cooperation, respect, and understanding, reflecting the true values of the Erasmus+ programme.
As the mobility came to an end, the students and teachers looked back on days filled with discoveries, laughter, learning, and friendship. They left Greece with new knowledge, unforgettable memories, and a deeper appreciation of European cultural diversity. 🌍
The Erasmus+ experience was much more than a journey abroad—it was a journey of personal growth, intercultural dialogue, and meaningful connections that will continue to inspire the participants long after their return home. 🇪🇺❤️
