Bio. Antigone Michalakopoulou (1981, Gr) was trained as an architect (NTUA) before
committing to fine arts in Athens (ASFA), London (St-Martins) and Ghent (KASK). In
her work she combines very different media such as performance, video, drawing,
photography and installation art, investigating the many ways we perceive the
concepts of place and space to constitute our identity. Since 2009 she took part in
group exhibitions and festivals in Greece, Belgium, Germany, Cyprus and other
countries, both with visual work as performances. Since 2009 she practices art education with various age groups in diverse contexts.

AboUt:

-getting to know different techniques and using a wide range of materials (painting, drawing, collage, photography, animation, 3dimensinal structures).
-growing the ability to combine elements and forms, developping synthetical skills and motor skills.
-discovery of a new alphabet, a new language of creative expression, in an encouraging and playful atmosphere that encourages appreciating art.
-growing autonomy and critical mind.
-growing a flexible and creative way of thinking, which makes us capable of discovering many possible alternatives...
-growing a usefull balance between spontaneity and reflexion. I also use various movement/improvisation techniques and excersices which encourage space and body involvement. I work with all age groups, children, teens & adults. Everyone is welcome, experience is ,of course, NOT required....
