🧠 September 30 | Understanding Alzheimer’s Disease

What happens when the brain begins to lose its ability to store, process, and retrieve information?

On Day 3 of our Summer School, participants will explore Alzheimer’s disease through lectures and hands-on activities covering pathophysiology, diagnosis, treatment approaches, differential diagnosis of dementia, computational models, and experimental research.

🔬 Morning lectures:
• Computational models and neurotransmitters
• Alzheimer’s disease: pathophysiology, diagnosis & treatment
• Differential diagnosis of dementia types

🧪 Afternoon sessions:
• Animal models and primary cultures of Alzheimer’s disease
• In vivo behavioural experimentation
• Patient case presentations

From laboratory discoveries to clinical applications, participants will gain a deeper understanding of one of the most important challenges in modern neuroscience and medicine.
