✈️ The 31st Scientific Congress of Medical Students of Greece was not just another event.
It was a colorful symphony of experiences 🎶, a celebration of science and youth, a journey into knowledge, innovation, and human connection.
For three days, the Thessaloniki Concert Hall was transformed into a vibrant stage where science met inspiration and imagination paved new paths toward the future.
More than 4,400 delegates joined forces, marking the largest SCHMS in the history of the institution and gifting Thessaloniki with an unforgettable panorama of ideas and experiences. 🙌
It was the lectures 🧬 that gave us new perspectives.
It was the workshops 🔬 that ignited the flame of curiosity.
It was the discussions, the 1st Medathlon, the mock trial, the panels, the innovative actions that sparked collaborations and friendships.
It was the moments outside the halls, where knowledge blended with the joy of human connection.
But beyond words and programs, what truly gave life to the congress were all of you – all 4,426 of you – who filled the halls with energy, passion, and vision. ✨

The Special Projects team of the 31st SCHMS & 19th International Forum invites you to the Photography Contest with the theme: “Highlights of a Medical Student” 🩺

Medicine is not just a science – it’s a daily experience filled with challenges, inspiration, and moments worth capturing. From the first interaction with clinical practice to endless study hours and valuable moments of camaraderie, every photo tells a story. 💉💊

How to participate:
🔹Take a photo that reflects the theme of the contest.
🔹Send it to [email protected] with the subject “Photography Contest”, including:
✅ Full name
✅ Medical Department & year of study
✅ Registration code for the 31st ΕΣΦΙΕ
✅ Title of your photo
✅ The photo itself

📅 Registration Deadline: March 2-20, 2025

🗳️ How will voting work? All eligible photos will be uploaded to a special platform (Google Forms), and then each person will have the right to vote for up to 3 favorite photos!

🏆 Award ceremony: The photo with the most votes will be announced at the Closing Ceremony of the 31st ΕΣΦΙΕ, where the Polaroid Now Gen 2 will be awarded! 📷🎁🎉

⚠️ Participation Terms:
❗ Photos containing visible personal data or faces without consent will not be accepted due to GDPR.
❗ Only undergraduate medical students registered in the 31st ΕΣΦΙΕ can participate.

📢 Workshop: Total Hip Arthriplasty in a VR environment 🤖

Get familiar with the world of orthopedics and practice in total hip arthroplasty with the help of virtual reality!🌟

The workshop includes:

🔹 Brief familiarisation with the VR simulator and description of the basic steps of primary total hip arthroplasty, for the treatment of osteoarthritis! 🦴
🔹 Practical surgical treatment in a VR environment, where each stydent carries out different steps of the process, under the coaches instructions.
🔹 Explaination of the process to all the participants.

🎯 The main goal of the event is the familiarisation with the tools and techniques of hip arthroplasty and the making of a memorable learning experience in an experiental, innovative environment!

The 29th Medical Knowledge Olympiad is here!
🤔 Do you have the skills and knowledge needed to shine? Time to prove it!

📚 Students from all Medical Schools across the country will compete in questions designed by faculty members of the School of Medicine of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

📢 Preclinical Years Edition 📢

🧪 The Preclinical part includes theoretical multiple-choice questions in the field of fundamental biomedical sciences (Biology, Biochemistry, etc.), exclusively for students up to the 6th year.

📆The preclinical part will take place in person on Friday, April 11, at 4:00 PM,
📍at Auditorium I of the Center for the Dissemination of Research Results (KE.D.E.A.), with the option to participate in Greek or English!
🏆 Believe us, if you win, you won’t leave empty-handed! The winner will be awarded during the Closing Ceremony of the 31st SCHMS!
