A decade of growing together. A lifetime of memories. 💛
Today, Querencia turns 10.
Ten years since the first little footsteps crossed our doors. Ten years of curious minds, creative hands, unexpected talents, brave beginnings, beautiful friendships, proud achievements and countless moments that made us stop and smile.
We have watched children grow, dreams take shape, and young people discover their own voices. We have celebrated successes, held hands through difficult moments, laughed until our cheeks hurt, created, explored, played, learned—and sometimes learned far more from our students than they could ever imagine.
Because Querencia was never meant to be just a place where children come to learn.
It was created to be a place where they feel seen.
Where they feel safe to be themselves.
Where they discover that their ideas matter, their dreams matter, their voices matter—and most importantly, they matter.
Our front window has always said it simply:
"Students Matter".
And after ten years, we know that those two words mean everything.
To every child who has walked through our doors, every family who trusted us, every teacher who poured their heart into what they do, and every person who has been part of our journey:

Thank you for the laughter that filled our classrooms.
Thank you for the handwritten words that brought tears to our eyes.
Thank you for the paintings, the performances, the sleepovers, the celebrations, the little master chefs, the summer adventures, the discoveries and the dreams.
Thank you for making Querencia what it is.
A place to learn.
A place to create.
A place to grow.
A place to belong.
And perhaps, after all these years, the greatest gift of all is knowing that for so many of you, Querencia has become something more than a school.
It has become a little piece of home. 🏡
