Modern education is facing a crisis, trying to compete with a complex virtual world that has created children who cannot connect or concentrate, and who have moved far away from natural, simple pleasures. Many educators and adults are racking their brains, trying to get their children to focus on learning, human relationships, and real life. With all of that in mind, we have designed special retreats especially for today’s teenagers, focusing on experiential learning. Our goal is to bring Greek history alive to young people by taking to them to archaeological sites in the Peloponnese, enlightening them with fascinating lectures from respected professors of Greek philosophy, and have them participate in an Ancient Greek theatre workshop that will encourage teamwork and self-expression. We also offer mediation in the forest, hikes through the mountains, and an educational village where students can knead bread, milk sheep and learn how olive oil is made. All of this in five days, in a mountainous retreat with top facilities, an hour and a bit away from Athens.
